When you were Booster Club president did any of your teams win state? didn't think so, I was three times the president you were in half the time.
Easy there, bullit. My doc only captures ONE year of my over THIRTY year presidency. Ampipe won state SEVERAL TIMES since 1983. But that is irrelevant. I was the Booster Club PRESIDENT!! NOT the head coach. While part of duties are to bring in quality head coaches (I did) my PRIMARY duties are MAKING MONEY!!! I made LOTS of people in Ampipe VERY rich. All legally, of course. NICE TRY BOZO!!!

I did not realize that Jesse James has anything to do with any school's ball club.
This thread went from discussing Kearney vs. Savannah to politics openly trashing the aforementioned community where the Jesse James home and farm reside plus the fesitval every September. Much as Joey gets on many nerves it went personal there, too.
Make no mistake none of this "offends" this Kearney grad and resident but it does (bleep) me off. If someone came on here trashing other communities and their traditions I would be defending just as vigorously. It is absolutely uncalled for..................

I am gonna confess I never have been a big Jesse James fan and tend to respect all points of view BUT AGAIN doesn't that belong on the Political forum instead of hijacking the Football one where I among others are preparing to discuss this huge District final? Why r14veer chose to go there only he knows but there are certain things one cannot "un-say". Certainly won't waste my time ever chatting about FB with him again.

I rewatched GV PC yesterday and made myself feel way better about the game the defense from that week 3 game is so much better now, Greco is back on the field at WR, having him and Olah at the same time hasnt happened alot this year. Going to be a fun one in the Valley Friday Night
We had lots of fun at the 4th grade Super Bowl (the rain was heavenly) at GV Saturday afternoon and the KDogs won!
Gathering all my notes plus waiting for most of the NWCMO players to make picks then will roll it out.
I was lucky enough to not have to be there til 8pm Saturday and the rain was just ending
I'm not going to pretend that I don't still think it's a little weird to venerate that guy, but that doesn't mean I'm trashing the community or its traditions; I would call it having an opinion, which I think is still okay. People in the community can celebrate whoever they want, however they want, and I'm sure they'll continue to do so without my or anybody else's say so. Heck, the people in Northfield, Minnesota have had a festival for 75 years called the "Defeat of Jesse James Days" that celebrates the town coming together to stand up to and defeat the James-Younger gang's attempted bank robbery, so I'm sure people in Missouri have their own opinions on that.
I thought that my first comment was said in an obviously hyperbolic and dryly humorous way that indicated good-natured ribbing aimed at Joey rather than aimed at disparaging a community. But then I got on the history kick because that other guy called me a government bootlicker and needed a history lesson that unfortunately highjacked the thread and would have been better done on the political crap board. I also thought it was obvious, when I said the "they, them, they're them" comment to you, that I was making a goofy, vague comment that couldn't possibly be taken to have any meaning whatsoever, not realizing that you were genuinely angry, so my mistake, and I apologize for that.
I concede context (been very guilty of it myself) when posting on a message board can be hard to read but yes (goes for Cards too) this kind of stuff belongs on the Political Crap board. Always appreciate when someone takes the time to write something genuine like this all good and perhaps I over-reacted context there is what has happened here over the years.
