I watched the game daddy. Luck was involved. Bad luck for Westminster. I hope Kearney can run the ball next week.35-16 yep no work in the weight room all luck game was not as close as the score was
WMC made their own bad luck. Kearney barely had a first down in the first half. A 10 yard punt set up a short score. Kearney kicks a pooch and WMC doesn't field it. Huge break. Then the back breaker, K fumbles and WMC gives it right back. Kearney got some breaks.Getting the wind at your back in the 4th quarter huge break for Kearney . Clearly before those critical errorrs happened the game was close. Take away those three gifts, the game is closer than the score indicates. I was suprised K didn't line up a ram the ball down their throat. They won this game with good defense, capitalizing on mistakes. I'd rather seen them roll WMC considering they are playing the unbeatable Webb next week.A wise man once told me you make your own luck
Do you drink in the evenings? Then you do agree luck is good and bad. Good luck to K vs. WebbNot sure what direction KHS had in the 4th has to do with luck they kicked off the second half into the wind?
So kearney won the toss? Elected to rec? correct? My point is they chose their luck choosing to kick off into the wind starting the 3rd quarter was smart not luck.

The best thing about Webb playing Kearney. Kearney is as impressed with Kearney as much as Webb is impressed with Webb.
Kearney elected to kick in the 3rd Quarter...it is in the newspaper write up. Jones did the same thing two years ago at Fort. He wanted the wind for the 4th quarter. Yes, he elected to kick instead of recieve. So kearney won the toss? Elected to rec? correct?
Agreed. I'm glad they won. Northland well represented.I guess Webb was lucky to beat Carl Junction 14-7? Take away the gift fumble at the end and their season over? Come on man...they won.
Thanks.Kearney elected to kick in the 3rd Quarter...it is in the newspaper write up. Jones did the same thing two years ago at Fort. He wanted the wind for the 4th quarter. Yes, he elected to kick instead of recieve.
With a nominal addition in students, like 50-60, in their 9-12, these teams would be Class 5.Thanks.
Good stuff.From the KC Star:
Bulldogs coach Greg Jones had a decision to make to start the second half. He elected to play with the wind in the fourth quarter.
“I did that a couple of years ago against Fort Osage and it worked out well, as it did today,” Jones said.
The game turned on the kickoff to start the second half. Westminster failed to field the pooch kick, and it was recovered by Kearney. Two plays later, Garrett was in the end zone.

Kearney's DL dominated against the run, but their OL did not look very good most of the game.. Part of that has to do with the wind, but Kearney's offense was very unimpressive... Defense on the othe hand, looked very good.
I like offenses that score 35 points a game and if it wasn't for the good sportsmanship of Kearney it would have been 42 as they kneeled down the last two minutes of the game on Westminster's 3 yard line. It's a four quarter game and Westminster's defense was completely wore out in the fourth quarter Probably from playing a weak schedule all year.. Also, it was the most points Kearney's defense has given up all year.
It's been well debated all year. LOLBefore you football heads start looking up that Liberty North scored 21, 14 of those points were given up by our offense.
Oh brother. yack.Superior conditioning. It is arguable that Kearney, with their national record holders in various lifts, has reached a higher level than the football team.
If football heads we're not on this board it wouldn't be as much fun. Before you football heads start looking up that Liberty North scored 21, 14 of those points were given up by our offense.
Yes...the dough boy teams they face usually are doing that in the third quarter. Pretty obvious when you are at their games. A lot of programs have had ten or more kids go through that end up squatting 650 or more...just all over the area. RIGHT!Oh brother. yack.
I hope the Kearney defense piss pounds Webb runs game. Make them throw it.
“To write is your last resort when you've betrayed someone.” Webb Smebb! Let's GO kearney! Now you've done it...dare to question the great and powerful Webb. The Webbie trolls will mark you for derision and conquest.
I'm glad someone actually spots what is really going on out on the field.Kearney's DL dominated against the run, but their OL did not look very good most of the game.. Part of that has to do with the wind, but Kearney's offense was very unimpressive... Defense on the othe hand, looked very good.
Nose Guard #66 Louis Etuale is very good
