Savanah has a really good Defense might be the best D we have played all year.
Better not lack motivation vs. Kobe Westphal and Warrensburg next week. I've seen teams like this go down in shockers so many times over the years...................It's just a little motivation and a couple of plays away from being 49 to 0.
I'm always accountable for being wrong. BOY OH BOY glad Kearney didn't play this edition of Platte County. Would have been a massacre.
Last year it was a shocking 21-13 end 3rd. All I can say is Kearney will finally face a major league QB next week in Warrensburg. Weird night Platte County reminds me of 2003 Kearney and the locals reminding me a bit of 2010.
I cannot believe JN would admit Kearney was "not motivated". This time of year you are either steamrolling toward a championship or cruising for a huge shocker. 2010 Harrisonville 14, Kearney 10 in what, on paper, was a total mismatch. Everyone was anticipating defending champ K vs. Webb and it didn't happen (this year it is Lutheran North).
Boy oh boy, Warrensburg gets to face a major league defense next week.

Computers don't win games. Warrensburg's issue will be THEIR defense actually. Kearney, again, has outstanding D Line and LBs but I still want to see a top drawer QB vs. the secondary. I think it is vulnerable.
This actually came close by the final score to verifying but was, again, 0-0 after 1 and 14-0 after 3. How "good" a team is on paper matters not this time of year it is how they are playing. We all talk about Lutheran North-Kearney being the only C4 game that will matter well it won't at this rate.
Kiante Hardin and the big pass plays yes they happened right before me in that C4 semi...............
Honestly yeah K should beat outmanned WBurg. The only game, as I think we all have known since September, that really matters is LUTHERAN NORTH. Kearney's whole season will be based on that game. The others are just prelims...................
You assume that LN will win this week vs Parkway North . Last year Hillsboro knocked out the all world number one favorites by a considerable margin. Have you watched LNs line play? Or are you just locked in on the skills players. Watch their line play against MICDS and CR. Fat boys leaning ain’t gonna cut it. Bahahahah. Said it from the start the AL team got 7 sacks on them. MICDS got 6 sacks.

Truth of the matter is CBC-Kirkwood among others should teach us all none of these games are to be taken for granted. AGAIN I was playing (board is starting to get testy so I like to throw something wild out there and see what happens). When you are 34-3 and counting the past three years with a title already in your hip pocket that beyond says it all.......................
Hat you can't win if you don't score the most points KHS has given up all year is 17 and you think WB is going to be better than PH or FO or Sville? I don't think so they have played a class three level schedule and it will show itself Friday night.
Again I was playing late last night. Truth of the matter is Warrensburg's shot is turn it into a shootout and force turnovers. I have peeked at a couple of replays their D is really suspect.
This same thing applies to Platte County at Webb City. Pirates should run away but no guarantees and turnovers can change everything.
Webb posters are so confident in their team not one person is taking me up on my 21 points I offered they know and you know what will happen.
I sure know what SHOULD happen. There are very unlikely variables at play before any game (mass illness contributed to Kearney beating Staley 42-0 back in 2013 for instance) but all things equal yeah I don't think there is ONE defense including this vaunted Bulldogs one that can stop this offense. I am still stunned............

Go back to the stat around Kearney that everyone Skipped over or i was simply late to the party. karney starting D has given up 6 pts in their last 7 games.
All other pts against Kearney were by 2nd & 3rd stringers. To think they aren’t as good as we thought isn’t accurate, they are brutally impossible to play against

Did I miss the post that someone, anyone said they were confident Webb would win? Much less want to bet on it? Maybe it happened, we've got some crazy fans, I just remember you wanting to bet on it and if I were a betting man I would too. But if someone does bet on mosports they don't have to pay according to CEO 😅
Honestly Pa the Webb fanbase has went from firing the coach to winning the District to now could win it all. I just thought I would throw it out there to see if any fish might jump in the boat. Webb while getting to where they are is impressive but PC is a different animal trust me. They can do it by running or passing or pretty much anything they want. Only thing that could mess this game up could be the weather. Now coming to Webb as long as they are not beat when they get off the bus which seems to happen a lot there I don't see this game close.
I don't think anyone who has seen them live thinks they are anything but ultra-elite up front and at the second level. The great unknown is what a top QB who can scramble out of trouble can do. If WBurg can do that they could keep this one in range at half. If he cannot look out this will be over by half.
Utz has been to Cardinal Stadium twice with a record of 1-1 (lost in 2017 semi won the 2020 semi both were very good games). These kids just don't strike me as anything but mature even as the core of this team is JRs (holy cow this offense next year).
