KC's East High School wins State Soccer Championship!

Finally some great news for an inner city school. Anyone from KC knows it has been decades for anything positive. Congrats to those kids and they beat the richest public school in Ladue to do it. Sounds like a future movie.

Carthage had a similar look about a decade ago as state runner up three times in 5 years with losses to St. Dominic and Rockwood Summit. They moved up to Class 4 after 11 straight district titles in Class 2 & 3. Class 4 is a while other level though; they haven't made it to the playoffs in Class 4 yet

I believe it’s called association football. I still haven’t figured out why they put their foot on the ball so much; I thought American “football” was ironically named.

In 1929 they defeated Kansas City Southwest 30-18 in the state basketball championship.
