Kareem Hunt...

I read somewhere that he initially lied to the Chiefs front office about what went down and that was what led to his release.

The Chiefs had the police report. They didn’t have the video because they couldn’t get it. But still, the fear of the pC Lynch mob led to this cut. The Chiefs can disguise it how they want That’s the reason.

The "kick" wasnt what I expected. It was more of a kick to humiliate than it was to injure her. If he shows remorse he deserves a second chance after a suspension.

The whole video wasn’t as bad as I expected. Don’t get me wrong, he is done but it wasn’t Ray Rice. I still don’t see any way he is in an NFL uniform next year and I think more likely than not he never gets back.

I just don't think he's done. Guy/Gal I get it. Hands off, the video shows her hitting him and I believe the law not PC world is you have a right to protect yourself. Doesn't say only against men. When she goes down it's from him shoving another man who is holding or trying to push him back down the hallway. The kick is anything but brutal. I stick to my original opinion, classes over being a dick and back in a CHIEFS uniform next year. Once again I realize it's guy against a gal but do not think it's violent enough to be punishable with losing your career over..

Some have lost it over less and yes. He is not afraid of her so the self defense is b.s. and idc if she called him a bad name. You get paid to beat the carp out of people on the field, if you can't control yourself then you don't deserve to play a game and get paid millions to do it.

Name who? CRICKETS!!! Nobody. Ray Rice knocked his fiancé or wife or whatever she was plum the - out and drug her like s caveman by the hair down the hall. Tell me who has done less and got kicked out of the league???? Who? Hell you got bunches of domestics, cocaine and steroids multiple offenses. He pushed her, not condoning it, just saying that is all he did.

He's gone. Players have been let go for less than that happens at bars. He tried to get her a 19 old girl to screw one of his friends. She didn't want to, friend has to hold him back. If I had seen that video and that was my daughter there wouldn't be a question if he would play.

I know simple English is hard. Who has done less? Name one player? ONE!! As far as the screwing one of his friends that's hearsay. The woman she was fighting with originally said they told them to leave because she said she was only 19 and wouldn't. Then after being put out started screaming the N word at them causing the escalation. No one on here knows it had anything to do with the fact she wouldn't hook up with one of his friends that was the cause. Hell watch her talking to the police, she says she was just out there trying to get a ride home when it all happened and that hunt pushed her. Never anything about hitting or kicking just pushed her. No charges were brought after watching the video. To say others have been kicked out for less is BS...

I don't think the video contains the whole story. I don't know if more of the story would help or hurt Hunts case but, I didn't see anything in the video that hasn't happened MANY times before over very little. It's sad but, that is society today.

I guess the nfl rule is no video no problem
I'm in no way defending Hunt, in fact I think the Chiefs had to release him. But combine "no video" with no arrest, and you definitely have "no problem." You don't want to go down the road of releasing a guy with no evidence. I feel sorry for the fact that this incident may cost Kareem his career, but he allowed himself to get into this situation. No matter what the girl did, he needed to let it go. I think the Chiefs did exactly what they had to do. This sends a clear message to every player in the NFL. Regardless of your status on the field, you can't get caught up in domestic violence, and you for sure can't lie to your employer after it happens. Hopefully others will learn from his costly mistake, and hopefully Kareem Hunt will grow and become a better person (he's still only 23 years old). The Chiefs will miss him on the field, but Spencer Ware is a quality back.

If that was your daughter then you are a Sh*t dad to have a 19 year old that chooses to be drunk at a hotel at 3:45 am.

Let's face it Ware was the starter last year until he got hurt and Hunt took over. Ware can play, as good who knows. Everyone is like big deal it's all Mahomes. Not without some sort of running threat so I hope Ware holds his own. Ending on a good note, Berry has been practicing!!!!

Those that have children know that you don't control them, you merely guide them. They make bad decisions and have to pay the consequences. If that young girl was my daughter I would hug her and tell her I love her. My oldest girl ran away from home and made bad choices. She latter was murdered, shot in the head. So, when I see something like this I get a little heated. Take care, I got to make breakfast for the rest of my kids and head to church.

So its ok to hit a man, but not a woman?

You know what's funny about your post, FOXNews is on and a group of four women are talking about this. After showing a very short clip only of her hitting him in the face and him pushing her one of the hosts says "disgusting that a man would put his hands on a woman". Of course they all chirp in with agreement comments. Very next segment, I mean 30 seconds later the topic is how woman need to quit acting like the victims all the time, "if we want to live and compete in the mans world we have to accept what comes with it".. I was like whaaaat.....

According to the press, he wasn't fired for kicking her. They (management) say it's for lying.

The real reason could be stated that Clark Hunt was ticked off that Kareem lied to him.

I disagree with claims Kareem would not have been punished or the idea that he would receive a break for telling the truth.

The optics invariably embarrassed the organization already under pressure from Hill and other well-publicized outrages.

Using the lie alibi has no risks. Clark Hunt can claim virtue in the alibi. No further justification is needed.

If lying is the bar for having an NFL job, then a bunch of people would be out of work.

The liars are Kareem Hunt and the reasons publically stated to justify why he was fired. It's seriously asinine. It's called political correctness.

When is it OK to kick somebody's ass?

Yeah that dude that squats 500 lbs kicked a 120 lb woman and didn't even move her . The push was violent the kick looked like a yeah I told you I'd kick your ass out!

Crazy the CHIEFS say they will do everything they can to get him back in the NFL as soon as he gets himself help. As I said He will he a CHIEF again and this was all about getting ahead of the storm...

Good stuff!

It's not that our PC Culture stops at the point to make men less violent by punishing them.

They want men to be harmless! Like a bunny rabbit. A bunny rabbit is harmless and ineffective. Men are not bunny rabbits.

Kareem could have crushed her with the pinky. I think he controlled his anger pretty well.

Kareem doesn't need counseling or need to get his life in order, he needs too stop nailing ****y in hotel rooms and go home.

When I see millennial boys these day's, I see why girls might choose other girls.

You may be right but from what I’ve read, the Chiefs are washing their hands of him. I think he may eventually be back in the NFL but it would be a different team. Time will tell.

Are you one of those boys that justify what you do to a girl by saying she was asking for it look what she was wearing.. Is that how your dad raised you... Just by how you act on here I bet he was a fine fellow....not.

I hope to hell my boys would never hit a girl...and I hope they never try to justify it either.

I think there is a chunk of truth in what everyone has had to say here ... For me personally? I was pleased to see the Chiefs take the action they did. A whole wagonload of lessons could be learned here by whippersnappers everywhere if anyone wanted to learn anything from it.
Life isn't fair ... and especially not at EVERY turn. Not for the girl, not for the guy, not even for the NFL team owner.
This was a series of events that if they were broken down into separate isolated incidents? He likely survives it. The sum of the parts, however, will damage his career or end it.
At any point along the way (probably from the time he met the gal to the time point at which he lied about the incident and everything that happened after) Kareem could have made better decisions. Say what you will about what they "all" do. Therefore they "all" choose to risk their careers. Especially in the age of cell phone cameras.

Everyone let O.J. get by all those years...and we ended up with two dead people.
