JUCO Football moving to Spring..

Looks like JUCO Football is going to delay competition to Spring... other Fall Sports likely to join them....

I know we have had a few different posts about it.... But the thought is at least gaining legs, in come places..

This is strange. A whole lot of juco players normally move to FCS schools at semester.

It was Kemper. They stopped after the 1999 season.

Don't hold me to this yet, but I swear I heard on one of my local radio stations this a.m. that NJCAA isn't going to start basketball until the first of the year.

Did the JUCO use the same field for home games as Kemper HS?

Keeper was in Boonville. They had their own field I believe. Keeper and Wentworth were big rivals.

At Kemper, you had to walk back almost a quarter mile to the HS field that seated about 50 which is why I asked. A few future NFL players were at Kemper in the 90s.
Wentworth had a stadium. WMA shut down their FB program in about 74 then started up again in 92-93.

Yes. Same field. Our JV played wentworth in 92 and 93 also. Kemper had some studs. They came over to our place in 94 for sure and maybe in 95. That was a long time ago and I’m old now.
