Actually Im listening all the way from the Navajo Nation Reservation in North Arizona
Man... Is Joplin that good or is Kickapoo just that bad!? Just a few years ago Kickapoo made the State semifinals
Joplin is definitely good. Apart from Webb City and Carthage Joplin rolled through their schedule but I don’t think Kickapoo would have won a game in the COC.
Kickapoo might not have won more than 1 or 2 games in the Big 8.
Its hard to see how a school with 1900 kids, the number one school that athletes in Springfield want to go to, can be as down as Kickapoo has been this year. They indeed would have gone winless in the COC and lucked into having Waynesville on the schedule early as well as the luxury of Springfield Central.
The future looks bleek for Kickapoo because their jv team was incredibly bad as well. Crazy because just a few years ago they were very good

I'm originally from from Webb City school district, Played football at Webb City. My son went to Joplin and played football at Joplin. I'm currently living in Tuba City, I use to live in Kayenta and Dennehotso.
I just got off the phone with a really good friend and he said the crowd was kinda disappointing
Joplin hasn't been this good in quite a while. But to hear the crowd was Sh*t in flipping ridiculous.
Joplin moved up from #16 to #13 in the MaxPreps Class 6 rankings after their win. If barely being in the top half of your class makes a team "very good" then yes, Joplin is very good.
Let's wait to see if they beat anyone decent from KC or St Louis before handing out any Participation Trophies.
And no, Lindbergh doesn't count.
No; the playoffs don't start until Saturday, November 18.
Joplin isn’t hanging with CBC but they are better than 13th. WR Westmoreland is getting looks from Oklahoma. Best Joplin team i’ve seen in quite a while. Not sure if they will win district and make semis but they will be competitive.
That said, Kickapoo looked bad.
they've only lost to the the #1 ranked teams in class 4-5. I'll agree joplin isnt very good...just good. Lindbergh is 7-3 vs other class 6 teams,not world beaters but joplin will be challenged. I dont expect joplin to win but should be competitive fwiw.
CBC was right there will a top 5 team in the country. they would prolly mercy clock joplin,CBC on a whole different level.
stands were about half full. I expect a much better crowd next friday.
The globe also stated that Joplin had a "state record" 56 points in one quarter (topping the 57 points, apparently, that both Carthage and Lamar have netted in a quarter).
Re-read the Globe. It said most scored since 2011 when Lamar scored 57.
The question/point about no playoff wins in 20 years - the point is beyond the scheduled regular season games Joplin has apparently always lost that first game afterwards for 20 years, which seems crazy. Until last night...when they really made the 'poo look crappy.
we usually sucked and when we were decent we had basically a playoff game with rockhurst when mhsaa had the 3 district game format. we could beat ls and ls north but the rock always ended our season.
