De Soto has looked pretty good so far getting a narrow win over Festus (after losing to them at Central) and a big win against Perryville. The Dragons have got to be kicking themselves for blowing that lead against Central at the Hillsboro semis. I suspect they would have lost to Eureka as well, but I think they would have had more momentum going into the Potosi game. 9-5 would look pretty good all things considered. They will still probably have their best record under Coach Hammond this year.
I can't remember a year when the JCAA Large School, other than maybe Perryville, was this close top to bottom. All those schools would likely play within 10 points of each other.
