Yeah, protesting is definitely anti-science. Straw-man. (but I'm not protesting)
2,000,000 people will die. Full compliance
Science figures out it's not as bad, predictions are lowered and lowered.
Science denying Officials double down increasing draconian rules.

I think the protestors were told the lockdown was needed until the peak passed, not that the lockdown will last until there's no longer a threat or indefinitely, whichever comes first.
They should stay shut inside prohibited from working, playing or running around infecting each other. There's no middle ground.
Actually what I remember being told was about 2 weeks to flatten the curve.

Lockdowns are not sustainable and they're NOT evidence-based. Lockdown and non lockdown regions have similar results. 22 million have filed for unemployment.
The correct policy is to protect the old and frail only.
Wash your hands etc...
The flattening of the curve is due to the most vulnerable dying first as much the lockdown.
Americans have an obesity problem and largely ignored healthy habits for decades making them susceptible to the virus. There's no excuse for not eating healthy in America, even if you have to take a bus five blocks to find fresh produce.
Zombies would be better. No question.

Those experts are lowering the the predictions AND saying it's because this 'distancing' thang is working.
Ask someone who lost a friend to depression leading to suicide as result of the shutdown if it worked.
Sad but such is life. People need to learn some coping skills and realize that nobody beats the Grim Reaper.
No argument from me. We have to open up and these folks will give us some data on what that will look like. I wish them well and hope it shows that the virus is ready to leave us alone. No better time now that we can test everybody
