For no other reason, the MM for MOY should stop merely because John Jay is back in a starting lineup and hitting #2. Seriously. The second I found out Piscotty wasn't near dead, I thought...man, I bet MM is gonna love being able to play Jay again.
I can't trust Gameday's movement thingy. Sure wish we still had cable at school. These kids are missing out on some serious educational programming. On another topic, it seems like Wacha does not have the movement he used to have on his fastball. He still throws hard, just straighter. Two years ago he would not have pitched around mccutchen. He would have just gotten him out.
What did Lynn do to struggle in his last start? 3 of his 4 walks were intentional. 1 was called by the manager, 2 others were "let's not pitch to Alvarez unless the bases are loaded." He actually only walked 1 and struck out 6 with no runs allowed. They walked Alvarez another time with another pitcher in then had to pitch to him once. When Wacha was 0-2 on Marte in the first and drilled him in the back, you knew he didn't have it. His ERA was over 6 in Sept. BEFORE this game.
Headed to the post season with Wacha sucking. Jaime hot and cold, Martinez out, and Lynn struggling big time. I'm confident.......

He still struck out 6 and really only walked 1 on his own, AND he did NOT give up a run! What did Lynn do to struggle? He only lasted five innings and wore the hell out of our bullpen. The freakin bases were loaded, what three of his five innings. What the hell game did you watch?

On that we can agree.OK. You win. I love Lynn.
I just wish he was pitching like last year.
