Did they really need ot vs marionville?
What's the new conference power ranking?
I’m sure I can come up with something. Do I need to count the 8 man team or the non football playing teams from the Wemo on my list?
I think Miller and PC is a toss up if both teams stay healthy. Sarcoxie next. Then it drops off pretty big. Just like Wemo. You have Adrian Cass midway and then Jasper. Then it drops off.
Did Lockwood let the homecoming queen candidates play linebacker?
Is Lockwood really THAT bad?

Until Miller beats a good team it's just guessing though. I really like the progress i've seen but the schedule makes it hard to tell where they are at. If the Strafford game had been played on ONE day on a dry field we would have learned more then but it wasn't.
Either way, Miller isn't the league patsy anymore and could be back where they belong.

It would have been worse if our starting running back hadnt only played 2 minutes before getting a minor injury and being kept out for the rest of the game

For what it's worth 26, I fully expect Jasper to walk through the WEMO, just didn't know how far Lockwood had fallen. Surprised Liberal is struggling.
Liberal had a team full of seniors last year (12-15) if I remember right. They're super young.

I hope Jasper does win the Wemo. What does that say about the Wemo that a team that the last few years finished middle of the pack in the SRVC would win the conference in its first year. Honestly Skin26 the better Jasper does is working against your point about how the Wemo is better.
He's just being a raw raw home team guy but if a team the rest of us saw as a liability from a competitive standpoint wins or even challenges for the WEMO title in year one..............
How did miller finish the last few years?
Is it an indictment of the new conference that they are top 3?

I said if Jasper wins the Wemo. Your right though arguing about who has the better conference now is pointless. Both have a few good teams with a lot of not so good teams. I think the new conference does have an advantage in stability. Miller will play a full JV schedule and full JH schedule for the first time in years.

The way I look at it the coward AD'S that got together and voted to boot 2 teams without them being there to defend themselves and they also state "looking for more competitive games" then turns around and gets beat down at the hands of a team they said couldn't be competitive. Jr team 3-0 Jv 3-0 varsity 4-0.
Now let's look at the new Conf... PH please. Diamond lol. Marionville who knows. Lockwood well we see how that worked out. Ash Grove laughable. If you look back the last 5 years we hold winning records over most of the Sw Conf teams including Sarcoxie and Pierce City.

I guess whoever saw us as a liability should fire their evaluators. And those same evaluators must of gone straight dumb and forgot to look at Millers Diamonds PH records over the last 3-5 years. And anyone I mean anyone who thinks PH is more competitive team should lose their job that has anything to do with football. But I guess Im just being a homer.
So Jasper played a complete Jr high and Jv schedule the last 5 years? Not including 8 man crap. That’s what your saying? It wasn’t about who was more competitive but about being able to field teams. By the way just because Miller has been down a few years doesn’t mean they have always been bad. Between 08 and 14 they won or shared the conference title 6 out of 7 years. Jasper hasn’t won that many in the last 40 years. Jasper had a career record of 56-87 in the SRVC. They should of begged to keep such a powerhouse in the new conference.
Yeah, Jasper wants to tout the fact they beat Miller the last 3 years. ANY longer time frame comparison doesn't work so they use Millers roughest stretch in recent memory.
It also coincides with one of Jaspers best stretches in recent memory. If you look at numbers long enough, you can find a way to make them make your point.
Cheer up and quit feeling jilted. The WEMO is proud to have added a couple SRVC castoffs to improve their reputation.
Well, it seems Jasper proved you don't have to always have an 11-man Jr. High and JV to still kick a little tail in Varsity action. If Miller, Sarcoxie, Pierce City and co feel they need to coddle their hill children with 11-man all the way, then so be it. Learning a little adaptability, which is a goal of education and school to begin with, will go a long way into adulthood, unless of course, a chunk of your alum plan to be helpless dependents, which I might add could be a common issue in the rural Ozarks more than the rural plains.

Cheer up !? I'm on cloud nine. And don't fool yourself even when jasper was in the srvc the wemo was a better Conf. I have my eye on that Lockwood vs Miller game if you lose you'll never hear the end of it from me.
And to reply to the JV and Jr question the other guy ask.. we are going to have lean years and might not be able to field teams every year but we'll have varsity and not
playing a few yrs of one hasn't hurt us. Use PH please tell me their record the last 5 years ? Like I've said before I'd rather be in the wemo I just hate the long trips. And it wasn't all bc we couldn't field jv and jr Teams the Rep from jasper who went to the meeting said 50 % of it was bc they thought they were so above are level and we see that's not the case last night.
Last thing I'm going to say is most teams will have up and downs but when you're told your not good enough and u beat down one of said teams without your starting RB just shows any given Friday you can have your azz smacked.

Go back to the start of the SRVC and figure it. We will then see who belongs and who doesn't.

Jasper has never been close to 8 man... it's amazing how people who aren't even around the school know so much about it. I hope not they are some of the larger schools in class 1
MillerBleach I wish you and your team luck I really do I'd rather Miller win than Sarcoxie or PC. I'm tired of the subject maybe one day our teams will meet and both be really good and get a good game.
That'd be a great arrangement, if it could fully materialize; shoot, even add Carthage and CJ in the mix. Eagle Country shares district boundary with them as well. Nothing wrong with "word-of-encouragement" recruiting efforts. Let some kids that are not quite on second string depth chart on those programs move to where they could still play Friday nights, plus get some KC area high school sports coverage on good years. Also, by the way... after working around COC schools, I can tell you, Miller and Co are not powerhouses. Keep dreaming or staying on whatever you're on. Class One typically isn't. Except maybe Valle on good years, and Lamar even shoots that theory down.
