I am an independent, but after being on this board 3 or 4 years I am certainly leaning Republican, they are a lot more open minded and not so judgemental.

I lose a lot of respect for you on that quote. Anyone that bases their party preference on the opinion of 5 or 6 people on a message board has issues.

I have a lot of respect for people with principles and whose policy positions are generally aligned with major problems in our country.

Like, I wouldn't vote for Paul Ryan, but I have a lot of respect for the man. He just wants a much smaller government than I do. Same with Rand Paul - I'm not really in line views, but I think the man is principled and is trying to follow those principals.

That doesn't include everyone in the party, though, including a number of people running for President. A lot of people are hucksters out to sell snake oil to the masses, or their solutions aren't remotely aligned with the principles they espouse (i.e. people who talk about balancing the budget but then ramble on about giant tax cuts and giant increases in military spending.)

Maybe we should all just read what is being said, instead of what we think we want them to mean. I have Never watched Fox News in my life, but I have been accused of being a "right wing zealot ", "a fox bot", " parroting fox news" , and " republican talking points".

Please, ....... Entertain me, liberals can say anything they want about a conservative, and it is quite alright, but if someone questions the almighty Obama, we are a racist, and a far right wing foxbot.

I would vote for Dr. Carson , as I think he is a good man. So racist, no, I just think Obama has been a big failure. Why when someone disagrees with a liberal, they are the spawn of satan?

And before you yell that republicans are against gay marriage, abortion and premarital sex, remember, Democrats are for them, and spend a large amount of time railing against Republicans..... So who is judgemental ?

There are more than 5 or 6 people on this board that are forcing me to lean conservative. The people that claim to be all inclusive are turning out to be the most negative, bias, racist , hateful people on this board, just like the people I have met in real life.
