I liked it best of those that were options.
When the University called me and asked for $ and what I thought the mascot should be I said.

I think it's dumb. I had no problem with Indians as the mascot.

It will be something to get used to that is for sure!!! If you get a chance check out one of the proposed logos on semissourian.com. They don't have the whole story yet linked but to me and this is my first impression, I'm thinking of the Atlanta Hawks. I hope they can find a college type logo and not some pro sports looking type thing. It will be curious to see what happens..

first it was a push to move from semo to southeast and now indians to redhawks. i guess it was the best of the names to choose from but they'll still be the indians for a long time to me. there is a push in the collegiate ranks to be politically correct and move from those types of nicknames. st. john's comes to mind recently. i guess the washington redskins and cleveland indians will be next.
