Attending a high school basketball game behind a group of fans from the same team.

Here is what is put together:
1. One or two of the players ‘babysit’ the Head Coach’s children.
2. One of those players dates the assistant coaches kid.
3. The head coach goes swimming (at a pool) with 2 of his players at another coaches pool.
4. That coach takes these two players shopping and buys Lulu lemon clothes for them.
5. Also buys the coach shoes, at $300-$400.
6. The parent of what I believe is this kid, ‘my (player) never gets in trouble! Because we go to the coaches house!’ And if he does get on to my (player) we will quit watching his kids.

Yes drama…yes none of my concern…but is this considered ok, in your opinion?

lol well I must say this is at least something new around here.

1. Babysitting the coaches kids is not a crime or anything bad. I am sure many coaches have had players babysit their kids.
2. Dating an assistant coaches kid is not wrong either.
3. Swimming? really? Is there some problem with swimming?
4 & 5. Probably should not be happening. I have seen coaches buy players that really need things clothing and shoes.
6. That parent that would say something like that is the real problem.

I am sure there is way more to this situation. Would you happen to have a child that is not getting the playing time from this coach? Or in some other way mad at this particular coach?

They play well and they win and look as though there is no issue at all.

Not my team nor my issue. It was just interesting listening to this as a spectator. As I was driving home, I was just thinking about all the pieces. It seems odd but not wrong.

I do agree really nothing is wrong but at the same time it could be real issue for the coach. If it happened in the workplace with employees that would be a different issue, I would imagine.
