As the #6 seed in Class 4 District 7 Harrisonville has had to travel all 3 games so far as the away team. All 3 games will have been played on a neutral field, not at the actual high school of the home team they are playing. Lincoln Prep game was played at Interscholastic League Stadium at Southeast HS. Van Horn was played at Independence All-School Stadium at William Chrisman HS. The district championship game against Warrensburg will be played at Walton Stadium on the campus of UCM.

I bet this hasn't happened too often.

Not on a natural grass field in late November/early December - regardless of what side of the state line the stadium is.

That is very interesting. I was shocked at how Harrisonville's season has gone, but I'm glad to see them getting back on track. They are traditionally a pretty good football school and I'd like to see them continue to do well.

Why are these schools refusing to host district games? You're leaving merchandise/concession stand money on the table!

All the teams in the Interscholastic League play their home games at the Interscholastic League Stadium at Southeast HS. KC East, Southeast, Northeast, Lincoln Prep, Central.

Van Horn has a new turf field, but they don't have the stands yet to host games. Van Horn was in the KC District until 2008 when it became a part of the Independence School District. The school has been working on many renovations to upgrade facilities since that time.

As for Warrensburg I don't know why they have chosen to play home games at UCM this season as apposed to their HS.

Don’t they always play at UCM?

I remember Carthage playing a road game against Kansas City Northeast at Kansas City Southeast about 15 years ago. I don't understand how a school can't even have its own stadium. Carthage's old stadium wasn't the greatest, but at least it was a football stadium.

I think Warrensburg has played all of their home games at UCM the past several years.

KC School District has 5 high school that play football. It has closed Westport HS and Southwest HS. Paseo Academy does not field a team. It sent Van Horn to the Independence SD in 2008, which reopened East HS. All of these schools have old fields located at their schools. They are all old grass field that no longer have stands or infrastructure to hold fans. The field at Southeast HS was the district stadium, and it was falling into disrepair until it had a 7 million dollar renovation a few years ago. It is a state of the art facility for all of the schools to share. I imagine it simply comes down to finances as to why the share a stadium.

Warrensburg does not have a FB field at the high school but at the middle school. It was fairly nice, not sure why they do not use it.

East High School has a very nice stadium set up too. brand new turf, nice big stands. concessions and restrooms are next to be renovated. Got a grant that had something to do with the chiefs but not sure the exact details.

Well that middle school was the high school when I played there. So it is still the high school to me. I'm old!
I am too. The track and football field are at the middle school which was the old HS before the current HS school opened in the late 80s?
Note that only Staley and North KC have stadiums in that 4 school district. Do not know how many years before Rock Bridge had a stadium and I not be surprised if the new Jeff City school does not have a stadium.

The PERFECT venue for the HSFB championships is in the KC metro on the KS side.............Sporting Park. Dreaming of the day someone builds something like that on the MO side but that is very unlikely.

STL has just formed a new ownership that will bring the MLS to the City. This just might be a great venue for it.

Apparently STL has a very rich soccer heritage here. It'll be the first ownership made up by women, in any sport.

Way back when I was at UMR the STL folks talked about HS soccer vs. FB about 10 to 1. The private school grads were particularly into it.
