If Coach Rolfes cares about the integrity of our game in the state of Missouri he needs to remove his program from competing for state titles. This is not meant to trash Coach Rolfes. The man is a good coach, he deploys effective schemes and tactics. The truth is private schools do not operate under the same basic guidelines that public schools do. Regardless of Class Affiliation we can usually pencil in Incarnate Word as the State Champion. This fact has created a lot of animosity, throughout the state, directed towards Coach, his program, and private schools in general. This would slowly disappear if Coach took his team and only competed nationally. I do not want to see separate State Championships because I believe there are a lot of public schools that relish the opportunity to compete against private schools. I just would like to see Coach do the right thing and bring some integrity back into the sport.
