Is there any bigger of guess hitter than Grichuk? It's hard to think of anyone who takes so many fat pitches and then swings at unhittable ones. When he does guess right and connects he hits it hard but they come few and far between. Is he any better than Pham?
Fowler can fly. He cruised into 3rd with his triple and didn't even break a swear. But good grief, .226 OBP from your leadoff hitter is just atrocious. He did get on twice but I'm ready to put Marp back up there for awhile. He's always been OK leading off. Drop Fowler until he figures out how to put it in play.
Leake was very good for 6 innings. Oh made the 9th exciting. Hard to give up 3 hits and no runs. His bad throw to Yadi with the bases loaded negated a probable DP and extended the inning but he somehow survived.
All in all it was a perfect night for baseball and the win just made it better. Hopefully Wacha is better today and the mini streak continues. We need a few wins to relax everyone.
