Oklahoma junior cornerback Jordan Thomas, a second team All-Big 12 selection in 2015, was arrested early Thursday morning under suspicion of assault and battery, public intoxication and interference, The Oklahoman reports. If charged, they are all misdemeanors.
"We are aware of it and will monitor the situation and react accordingly," an OU spokesperson said in a statement.
Thomas had previous run-ins with the law, spending a December night in jail after failing to appear in court for a traffic violation. Additionally, Thomas missed action in two games last season — the entire Sept. 19 against Tulsa and the first quarter of the season-opener vs. Akron — for undisclosed disciplinary reasons.
Thomas was key for the Sooners' defense last season, finishing with 46 tackles and five interceptions
