Why have a national highway system that goes to less populous states if MGHS doesn’t use it? Why have national parks if MGHS doesn’t visit them? Remember what goes on at MGHS’ hospital is representative of the entire country. Get out of your bubble bro.
There are other people, places, and things that you obviously aren’t familiar with.

Numerous Nurses and doctors have died, but hey people who fear this virus are cowards? This is a new low, even for Trump lovers.

Don't misrepresent what I posted....People die everyday first and foremost from a variety of things. At the end of the day C19 isn't going to kill as much as Cancer,Heart disease, Vehicle accidents etc. But everyone is running scared because it's new. I'm not advocating taking the C19 challenge and licking stuff, or not social distancing if your high risk. But for us to shut down needed Hospital services and for the masses to be so worried about death when the risk is small is yeah cowardly.

Also when you work at a Hospital it's implied that you are at risk we sign up for this. Do the Job. Interesting that you QB from the Cheap seats not in a Hospital setting at all but you act like you have experience and training. Your opinion isn't based on experience, education, or training. It's just a opinion based on your feelings. You are entitled to it but it's not based on evidence at all.

Also clearly the USPS is a inefficient, money hole of over paid and under worked gov. employees with a bloated administrative staff that runs in the RED. It's primary purpose now is the delivery of Junk Mail. IT LOSES MONEY doing a job that has been mostly replaced by Technology and Private industry that does the Job better. To compare the Highway system to the Postal system today is disingenuous, the highway system is a vital part of our infrastructure. Now if we develop cheap and easy teleportation in the future then yeah the Highway system will go the way of the USPS.

Also if the USPS is interested in competing then they can go lean and mean and become efficient. It's not complicated.

But I guess you are fine with wasting Tax dollars so that on occasion you can save 7.45$ on mailing a graduation.

Pros - Many small businesses don't have Autopay option to make payments and some poor people don't have checking accounts to Autopay.
And USPS does hire many vets. JOBS!! (and let's not pretend there aren't expendable gov jobs elsewhere).
Many people, like myself, like to keep our electronic footprint as small as possible to avoid ID theft.

Cons - yes the USPS loses money.
All business could be handled electronically.
Paperless business is very close to being a reality.

Within 10 yrs, I expect the USPS to be overhauled or closed down.

I suspect the USPS will overhaul, I doubt it will go away the gov. rarely if ever closes a agency even if it is obsolete. They could easily make it close to budget friendly by adjusting the wages and pensions to meet the reality of it's use.

Fixt...

USPS workers are over paid and over pensioned. The system is inefficient like most gov. agency's and they are only interested in servicing themselves as opposed to helping the Taxpayer... UPS/FedX,Faxing,Email,Texting etc. have basically turned them into a Junk mail delivery service.

It's time for them to down size and go lean and mean with minimum wage workers....
I know a few mailmen in my little town that are NOT retiring and I know for a fact they are 2 and 3 years older than me so I have to assume their retirement ain't that great. One of my older brothers worked for UPS for 30+ years and made good money and lots of OT but their pension is pretty crappy.

Shall we start listing the ways that our gov wastes money, like an Outer Space Air Force!!

Not going to disagree with that either, but at least that is forward thinking and not hitching the wagon to something that is obsolete.

That would be a start but raising the price of a stamp to meet a profitable level might be impossible. They run in the red what about 4 billion a year. What would a stamp cost to cover that.

Nah, the government (if Dems gain control) will just re-make the USPS a government function and our tax dollars will fund it.

Just another expansion of government I don't use and shouldn't have to pay for.

In private business, to make yourself profitable, you have to go leaner or charge more...and if you charge too much, the market will shut you down through lack of demand. It's naturally balancing. Government doesn't have that. And they don't trim.

This is what has frustrated me more about the Trump administration than anything... no cutting into the debt. No cutting of pork. No major abolishing of useless positions and agencies. (at least that I'm aware of). I do have limited knowledge on this.

Anyone who thought Trump wouldn't be a spender wasn't listening. He does things cheaper but does more things than most. He has cut a lot of red tape positions and regulations but there was a HUGE base to cut from and much remains.

You are pretty much correct, Trump isn't a fiscal conservative by any means, he was at one time a Democrat.

I to dislike Trumps expansion of the budget and gov. but as I have stated lesser of two evils and I doubt we ever elect another budget cutting politician in my life time. People just want more and more free stuff. So the Politicians pander to it.
