How tough is KC area football???

I know for a FACT that Jones and JRod were trying to set up a game a few years back just could not agree on when it would be played.

Going forward with Carl Junction joining the COC large WC will only have one non-conference game and it looks like for the foreseeable future that will be the renewal of the rivalry with Pittsburg.

Suburban conference schedules are set by a committee of ADs. One AD from each conference. Coaches have no say in who they will play, and are told who they will play.
The conference makes sure the big schools get their schedule filled by forcing teams to play within the conferences.
The committee makes a few exceptions primarily for Rockhurst and the Columbia schools that one game every week will be played vs a non suburban team.
Mill Valley, Warrensburg or Marshall have squeezed into that week. Looks like next year they will add a Missouri versus Kansas week.
All games are scheduled by the committee, no team gets to choose their opponent.
Some teams try to lobby, but the decision is the committees. The meeting is closed and no outside communication is allowed until the schedule is finished. Efforts are made to make it a fair schedule but iinevitably some teams get screwed and many teams get a free ride.
I hope this explanation will put to rest the speculation that coaches have the power to schedule non-con games.
