We were having this discussion Friday night watching the opposing team deploy a soccer player as their kicker while the school I support does not. Lutheran North's kicker is also their starting goalie. He consistently kicked the ball in the end zone and was fully capable of kicking 50 yard fg's if necessary. I have argued for a long time that Lutheran South should do the same thing as they have had some soccer players that would have been excellent kickers for the football team. How does this work out elsewhere and how much practice does the kicker get?
