Did you see that pass deflection hit the ground, bounce 3 yards out of bounds, then get picked up by the Holden player? The ref called it a RECEPTION! Even if the kid had caught the ball (which the video clearly shows he was no where close to it) he would have been out of play. That official came running in from 20 yards away, claiming it was a catch. That video should prevent him from being able to work anymore playoff games.
I was calling Maryville vs Chillicothe. MSHSAA guy that grades officials was next to me. At halftime my commentator guy showed a replay on his phone via HUDL, and the MSHSAA guy agreed, should not have been a flag against Chillicothe. Guess no one is perfect.
This is true, everybody makes mistakes. But I wish I had a way to post this video for you. This catch wasn't even possible and there's absolutely no way this guy could have made a "mistake." It wasn't close, or an optical illusion. This call defied all logic and laws of physics. There was a side judge standing right next to the play, yet this official somehow "saw" something that no one else in the stadium saw. The Holden player never even protested or claimed to have made a catch.
exactly it was incredible and that ref and crew should never work again. higg. should have used a timeout and spent the entire timeout in the crews ear demanding they get together and change that call....there are no words to explain how bad of a call that was...im sure it will be on youtube soon and we can link to it lol

I dont like the thought of MoSports shutting down. We Doc Guys would have to find a new place to hangout!!
You are right ... I could agree this is the worst call of the season and when the dust settles? A pile of points were given up!
