Pretty close to June 1. You know what Ricky Bobby says…if ya ain’t first, you last.

Anyone know if this is true? What position?
Anyone have any update on how ole Smithville did at any scrimmages?

Why does a Park Hill parent care anything about what Smithville does?
You got no idea the beef I got with those folks, long gone Sonny boy, no kids in the house for me. Closest thing to a kid is the 24 year old single moms that visit me

He can't catch fish at the lake...............
I "think" another factor is the key families boys have all graduated. I like their facilities and think Ambroson built a blueprint how to build a program but yes I expect something similar from the Warriors this fall to last.Smithville had a pretty good run for three years a while ago. Other than that, they are just another 20+ W for K. There are other teams on the radar with a lot more to be worried about, like Savannah, you know, the team that beat Smithville last year. Odd to have a derangement syndrome about a team that is mid.

All those beatings during the Gray years coming back on them now...................
Ran some private stats about this rivalry since it truly ignited in 2018 when SVille joined the Sub Blue. To this day I am shocked Kearney was able to pull off that 20-19 regular season victory his first year in KMO but that revenged pretty much as expected in the playoffs. 2023 was injury tainted another Ambro blowout (would be the last) revenged in that great playoff game you mentioned.Good thing Minnick is a nice guy, 38-14 last season could easily have been 48-7. 29-13 the year before was legit. Could have been 38-13. Ambro was good at avoiding it from turning into a terrible beatdown. The second half was anyway, but the score could have been worse.

No question the winner of that one was going all the way and Kearney didn't disappoint one bit.
Today and moving forward not sure what to expect over in SVille. What I am sure about is this little 21 mile Hwy 92 stretch is gonna continue to churn out top gun FB teams although Platte will really experience a back to Earth drop in 2026.
I think you mean St. Mary's. Yes I do remember and pointed out the parallels between that STL all stars vs. Hwy 92 C4 semi and this past one after 3 inches of snow in KMO. Didn't you think the presence of that huge LN tank #75 may have had a part in them not being so smashmouth? When I saw him come out joked to my old classmate friend he looks like my 20 year former major college FB darts teammate not a teenage kid.Smithville is even more depleted with personnel than ever, multi-year starters and BIG boys on the lines: Colby Harris, Cole Becker, and Chase Turner. All graduated. Bona Fide stud Haze Middleton, the linebacker, is back. And their WR. QB is back.
Looking back on 2022, the 20-19. It was smashmouth football that won the game. It won the first game against Platte County as well. In those first 3 games (PC, SV, and Fort), the QB play was not sufficient, and really much below the level of Smithville. Oddly, in the playoffs, they went away from smashmouth and relied too much on the QB. This was repeated in the Lutheran North game last season. Both younger QBs were challenged to do too much. Of course 2023, a much different story. QB was polished and turned into a scoring machine. Hmm, history may repeat this season?
Remember Trinity vs. SV in the semi? Trinity stuck with Smash Mouth and eventually SV caved in the second half.
"There are three things that can happen when you throw a pass, and two of them are bad."

I expect we see HUGE things from Temple this JR season. Kid has all the tools and the pedigree (nicest family you will ever meet, by the way). Never know what can happen but just have a feeling we are, at a minimum, going to head up to St. Joe with the whole freaking town this December.
You could go to the 35-29 split and see Pius in action any early morning LOL.......................I do.Trinity, St.Mary's, Lutheran North, all the fly-by-night, privately recruited boutique teams bleed together. All the same M.O.
I wonder what public schools could run practices during official state dead weeks and still get to play in the post-season?

All I see is a bunch of cars in the parking lot this year. Not trying to get anyone in trouble.....................During official dead weeks? They should and will be reported if they do that.
You were in a old folks home with some other softies who didn’t want to tough out 30 degree NOMO weather. You joked with someone who’s hearing aid is off and the only reason they smiled is they couldn’t hear what you were saying.I think you mean St. Mary's.
