30-3 Smithville Baseball got sent packing by St. Pius X, 17-11 in the Class 5 District 8 semis. Single elimination in baseball is cruel and unusual sometimes.
I know a local winner who still lives in his glory days who tried getting me banned due to his fragile ego.
Now, how would you know who "tried getting" you banned? I actually got banned three times. I have no idea who did it. When it happens, you probably deserve it. Although the first time I got banned, it was in 2015 for the "hit of the game" commentary. The Webbies were real prickly sensitive sore-losers at the time. They were a swarm of gnats. So I assume it was one of them. By the way, Kearney still has a winning record against them. And rumor has it they considered painting a purple K on the field down there. hehehe

Baseball is the hardest sport to predict in a single game by far. All of those four could win on a given day. Platte County and Pius will now do FB all over again (C5 district final) tomorrow morning.
