Class 5 Districts 1-4

District 1 @ Poplar Bluff--Poplar Bluff should win by default- No other possible winner.
The Mules biggest win--@ Jennings 85-63

District 2 @ Timberland--Zumwalt South 5-7 or Timberland will face the Mules in the sectionals then check their uniforms in. Zumwalt South's biggest wins Westminister 78-72 and Timberland.

District 3 @ McCluer--Hazelwood Central 8-5 is the favorite but when the Hawks play you never know the outcome. The Hawks biggest wins are CBC 63-62 and Farmington 71-64

District 4 @ SLUH----I'm picking the upset-SLUH 10-4 over Chaminade 10-1. Frank Bennett has the talent, size and the will to win but Erwin Claggett ( Loves to coach in big game ) also has talent, size, home court advantage and a veteran guard who is all about winning. His name is Brandon McKissic 6'3" and will be enrolling @ UMKC this fall. I say Brandon plays in the final four for the third time in the last 3 years.

The Jr. Bills biggest win-- Webster 49-48----Chaminade's biggest win SLUH 72-62 @ Chaminade.

SLUH most likely will represent class 5 districts 1-4 @ the final four in Springfield

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Class 5 Districts 5-8

District 5 @ Eureka

Howell 8-2 ---Howell's 8-2 biggest win -Pattonville 8-2

District 6 @ Parkway South

CBC 7-6 --biggest win Desmet 57-52 or Desmet 6-4--biggest win Parkway West 7-3

District 7 @ Lindbergh

Webster 6-3 with a minor challenge from host Lindbergh. Webster's biggest win Hazelwood Central 69-44. Hazelwood Central has 8-5 record to date.

District 8 @ Jefferson City

I have the Jays winning district 8 with a quick exit against Webster in the sectionals.

Webster is a lock to represent districts 5-8 in the class 5 final four in Springfield.

I do believe that Kickapoo is the strongest team with out a doubt this year from Districts 9-12. Republic is off to a great start in District 12 and I believe they will defeat Nixa for the District Title.

Lees Summit West has a good shot coming out of Districts 13-16. They do have a win over the Poo this year but I don't think they can beat Kickapoo twice. Before they get the chance they will have to get past Park Hill who is also very good this year. Me feom what the bracket looks like they will get District 1-4 winner in final four.

Although this is just my opinion I feel that K-Poo has a schedule that benefits them this year. They are playing with some of the best in the nation at the tournament of champions, lost by only 4 to Nationally Ranked Jonesboro, and a six point loss to undefeated LSW.

My prediction for Final Four
District 1-4 Chaminade
Vs
District 13-16 Lee's Summit West

District 5-8 Webster
Vs
District 9-12 Kickapoo

Championship will be rematch of last year
Chaminade
Vs
Kickapoo

Really impressed with LSW, got a chance to see them Friday at William Jewell. You'd be hard pressed to find a Missouri team that has three better players than Elijah Childs, Christian Bishop and Mario Goodrich.

I'm not going to predict what would happen in a LSW-Kickapoo rematch, but I will say that KC area basketball is pretty good this year and the Titans will get a good test in their regular season schedule. I like what I have seen from a lot of the teams they play, Blue Springs, Blue Springs South, Park Hill — those are all pretty good teams.

Also I believe the Final Four is in Columbia again this year and comes to Springfield next year the 2017-18 season. It will be the first of a 5 year agreement.

Webster is 7-2 with losses to Champaign Central by 2 in final seconds and to SLUH 49-48 with Webster missing 2 free throws with 0.3 seconds that would have tied and won game. All this without Gordon.
