Cool. They wouldn't finish in the top 50 in Missouri. There are over a dozen teams in Missouri that could literally name the score against them . What's that tell ya about polls ?

At that point a public school of 1100 was ranked #13 by USA today. They we're very good but probably weren't the best team in Missouri. And there were probably hundreds of teams nation wide that would drop the hammer on them. Winning streaks , recruits etc skew polls big time

No, still wouldn't. National polls are just opinions, about as valuable as pre-season rankings. If it wasn't settled on the field it's not real.
