Yeah especially that QB #7.................he is not overRATED but overWHELMING!!!!!! One of the most amazing performances by one of the KC metro's best QBs ever (yes I just said that).Don't you just love it when people say the Ft. Osage was way over rated
He's not even Honorable Mention on Joey's All Metro Team...Yeah especially that QB #7.................he is not overRATED but overWHELMING!!!!!! One of the most amazing performances by one of the KC metro's best QBs ever (yes I just said that).
Have said in another earlier thread this week Park Hill is KC metro #1 in 2016.................now Fort faces defending champ Battle. Not shocked that Fort won, but shocked by the margin. PH will be a load to handle next season.
Coach Shartz and his staff definitely had the team ready tonight.
BTW....I think Thompson cemented the Simone Award tonight. 300+ yds total offense, 3 td runs, 3 td passes against a very good PH defense.
Leave him alone Homey, he's on suicide watch. You know how to pickem... Guru !
Glad to see that someone else noticed the hard nosed play of #66 for the Fort. Did you happen to see him hit the punt protectors when Park Hill punted in the 2nd half ? I felt sorry for those kids that had to absorb that hit !It was apparent early that Thompson was the best player on the field by a wide margin. Trust me it was fun the watch live. Park Hill should be loaded next year but Graves needs to develop a motor like the nose tackle from Fort #66. When you are far superior tools than anyone on the field playing hard every play would be worth watching. He did a lot of watching but when he turned it on it is easy to see why he is a top prospect
Lighten up Frances...you didn't see that I said, "they can't move the ball outside the Tackles?"Barring hvilles great returns they never would have crossed the 50
He is a mack truck ala Tony Tanumai from 2011...............It was apparent early that Thompson was the best player on the field by a wide margin. Trust me it was fun the watch live. He has a all-metro team? comedyHe's not even Honorable Mention on Joey's All Metro Team...
First Team Moron Idiot...and it isn't close: BlizzardX. Hey Blizzard, has Kearney played anyone yet? They just slaughtered (Turbo clocked in the 4Q) a team that beat Battle (playing Fort next week.)He has a all-metro team? comedy
Whether it's first team, second team or honorable mention you are not qualified to make any, all conference selections and at the very most republishing what the coaches in each conferences decide.First Team Moron Idiot...and it isn't close: BlizzardX. Three comments here: 1) This is one of the better posts I have read from you. 2) There is a very interesting angle to Odessa: Not only is former Kearney HC Mark Thomas Odessa's BUT his QB from the 2002-03 glory teams at K Benny Palmer is the Offensive Coordinator! EVERYONE in KTown should be pulling for these Bulldogs. 3) Kearney has, many times, found success vs. Staley and Fort and I would not have counted them out in C5 were they there this year. It really hurts them neither was on the 2015 slate no doubt but, from what I saw yesterday, they look primed and ready to go the rest of the way and you are correct about their D. It still is the better unit on this squad. As for Kearney taking Huck Finn to the woodshed, I've alway's said that I won't be suprised. The same suprised that Kearney killed Belton, Smithville and Platte County. Perhaps the fact that Huck Finn beat Battle will be exposed and turn out to be not such a big deal by Fort Osage, remains to be seen.
IDK, but understand I believe Kearney has a great defense. A sectional championship level defense. No doubt those kid's are killers. Run stuffers and QB nightmares. It's a shame they have two victory's against number #2 QB Platte County offense. When's the last time we've ever heard of a state championship team coming out of Hannibal, Mo?
Huck's victory over Battle perhaps is more about the dummies at Battle that can't defend the Houston Veer because their young and stupid, and never seen my grandpa's option offense?
Jones being no spring chicken, knows what to do against the split back veer. I hope that Kearney wins in the Semis so we can have a representative in the 4A in the Show-me bowl. Kearney has alway's been and will be Webb's only worthy opponent.
From where I sit, all things are in order on the KC side in class 4. Fort would beat Kearney, Kearney would be helpless against Blue Springs South. Kearney might beat a cool Odessa team.
But at best Kearney would be home right now looking forward to T-Day if they weren't class 4. We can't claim the same for Webb. Kearney will give Webb a good game, I hope they beat them, but the defense will be the key. Perhap's they'll get turnover's a Webb DB will call in sick, but I don't think Kearney, unless I'm totally overestimating what I'm reading will beat Webb.
Kearney still hasn't played a team that has a good offense and defense. Webb has played a team supposedly with both.

You are a comedy show in thinking your opinion matters or is relevant to KC high school football.
If on this board you are ever exposed as a coach for a losing football program that couldn't score in a women's prison with a bag full of hearts, you will embarass your school and be forced to resign and should consider a new job as a coach girl's JV soccer coach. Soccer is a sport I think you are right for after reading your posts over the past year. You can attend every game and be home in plenty of time to clean the oven for your mother in your house in Independence.
I hope for Kearney's and Webb's City coaches you are not wasting precious time with showing up at their practices or games and hoping you will catch on as a "radio mascot".

Another element to the Odessa angle, Coach Jones was once the head coach at Odessa. So basically, all the Bulldogs should be pulling for each other!!Three comments here: 1) This is one of the better posts I have read from you. 2) There is a very interesting angle to Odessa: Not only is former Kearney HC Mark Thomas Odessa's BUT his QB from the 2002-03 glory teams at K Benny Palmer is the Offensive Coordinator! Either of the Class 4 winners, Kearney or Webb, would win Class 5.
