This is a wonderful breakdown.-Head Coach Rob Steeples was on the 2005 State Championship Desmet Team.
Played for Mizzou and Memphis, once out of the NFL came back to coach.
- 2016 = 2-8, 2017 = 1-9, 2018 = 9-3, 2019 = 12-0
- They are lead by a RB trio of Barfield, Butts, and Snider who have combined for 3k+ yards and 46 TDs. They slit time between 2 QBs but they dont throw it much. when they do throw its to 5 Star all American WR and Notre Dame commit Jordan Johnson. Probably 15 or so division 1 prospects and 3 top 100 guys.
- They dont really do anything fancy. they run the ball out of the spread or other pro-style sets. they run 70-30 which of course makes them predictable but no one has stopped them yet. Only scare was to Chaminade who decided to go for 2 instead of tying the game late in the 4th. Game was 32-31. No one else has been within 3 touchdowns
Thank you so much. This will help a ton. I really appreciate it, if interested in watching check out 810varsity.com that’s where the game will be broadcast from. Myself and Taylor Dameron on the call.-Head Coach Rob Steeples was on the 2005 State Championship Desmet Team.

I believe their line has 3 or more D1 guys as well.
Yeah, I noticed that Francis Howell hung with them into the 3rd, but De Smet just pulled away. I think the only way you beat De Smet is to take some chances and try to build a big lead and make them throw.Yea I was include them in the 15 or so. They probably have about 10 guys with offers currently but after this season some more guys should get some attention.
That CBC game from earlier in the season just stuck with me. Desmet is a really big and physical team they just wear their opponents down.

You're like Nostradamus with this post.
