Helias Sanctions

Has anyone heard what's going on at Helias? Apparently the AD has resigned and MSHSAA is making a ruling after some MSHSAA people dropped in and the basketball team was having full practice in October. Anybody know the details on this? Not sure if it's boys, girls, both, if the coaches are in hot water.

The MSHSAA Board of Directors review cases of violations by member schools. The board can accept the self-imposed penalty for violations or add additional penalties if it sees fit to do so. The next board of directors meeting is in late November.

Thanks for the info. Doesn't sound like a major violation. I'd guess the AD thing and the basketball self-reporting are unrelated then.

If players want to come in, voluntarily and work, they should be allowed to, even with a coach present. Missouri should change some of their rules regarding this sort of thing.

Reading the article...it stated that the preseason workout was player-lead and Coach Buffington wasn't there. I'm confused. Why is this a violation?

You figure out MSHSAA please let me know. Honestly they have no consistency with how they deal with issues.

Seriously! MSHSAA needs to take a trip to St. Louis. If this basketball thing bothers them they'll shut down half the football teams there.
