I heard on Fox, its going to be the best healthcare we have ever had. It will be better care, be cheaper AND have lower deductibles. The details will be released "when appropriate." It will be addressed after the November, 2020 election (I guess that means there is no real hurry).

Correct.

Hard to believe anyone would be apprehensive about their healthcare. I mean after all, Obama solved all those problems in 2010, right?

Healthcare was solved long ago, no need to worry about that. Now we have 12 years to save mankind!!!

You would pay for that service via your taxes. What right do you have to police protection or public schooling? Services

I thought the police were all racists out to shoot innocent black men?

And public education is a joke that I dont participate in.

Are you the cowardly lion, because I see the strawman. Bahahahahahaha

You obviously dont know what a strawman is. I literally used the two examples you gave.

BS. I have never said police were "all racists". That is an absurd exaggeration of my viewpoint, thus a straw man. You better hit the hay bro. You arent real sharp tonight.

No...still on topic, even if it's an exaggeration.

In either case, police protection is a right in that the function of government is the protection of it's citizens.

Public education isnt a "right", there are lots of people who don't use that SERVICE for many reasons. Schools even have the ability to deny that service. Ever heard of expulsion?

You are going ro strain your back, because you are really reaching.

No. A RIGHT is something that can't be taken away.

Expulsion, long term suspension implies that the SERVICE of public education can be stripped.

Just because education is compulsory until the age of 17 doesnt mean you have to engage in the PUBLIC education system.

I'm not stretching anything, you just dont like that your argument can be dismantled so easily.

You really need to get a life bro. Everyone have the right to a public school education.
Period. If you barf up that right, that is your issue. This has nothing to do with healthcare in America. Have a good evening.

I'm just following your train of thought. YOU'RE the one who gave public education as an example and then have nothing smart to say when that is refuted.

Healthcare isn't a right anymore than education is.

Thankfully, we as a nation can make it a right and we dont have to just follow your opinion.

In my opinion, the healthcare debate is a lot like the "paying college athletes debate". It's kind of pie in the sky. I would love for players to be fairly compensated, just like I would like to see all Americans healthy and happy. But I haven't heard of a plan for either that makes sense logistically.

Before I'm crucified for saying athletics is of equal importance to someone's health, that's not what I'm saying at all. That's just the best analogy I could come up with.

As for public education being a right, I absolutely think it is, and should be offered to every citizen. It is up to the individual to exercise that right if they choose to, within reason. Kinda like 2nd Amendment. If you can properly utilize the right to education, it's there for you. If you are a jackleg and get expelled, the right is no longer yours to exercise. If you are a gun owner that has proven you can't handle that right (i.e. criminal action w/ a firearm), you shouldn't be able to exercise it. It's almost like I just want people to be held accountable for their actions, that's wild. Lol.

No, you want the taxpayer to subsidize other people's behavior.

Why should I pay the health costs for
-people who smoked their entire lives

-people who decided eating a Big Mac, Large Fry, and super sized Coke was what they wanted to eat 5 to 10 times a week

-people who drink too much and get behind the wheel.

-people who text and drive

-people who CHOSE not to use protection when having sex.

I'm as sympathetic as the next guy for people with congenital diseases, they didnt make a choice and something bad happened to them, which is why I'm a huge proponent of CRISPR and genetic editing/therapy to eliminate genetic diseases within the population, but people who make poor choices don't have my sympathy, nor do they have the RIGHT to dip into my wallet to subsidize the consequences of their poor choices.

I don't disagree. That's why I said I haven't heard a solution yet that makes sense.

No, I'm responsible for myself and my family. I wouldn't ask you or anyone else to pay my bills.

So stop using the roads and bridges your neighbor's tax dollars paid for. Dont be calling the police or fire department either.
And if you live in town, disconnect from the sewer system. You and your family are living off other people's dollars every freakin day.

Yeah and I also pay my taxes for roads with potholes. Would much rather use a private toll road, Missouri isnt there yet.

I also dont make the claim that any of those SERVICES are a RIGHT that must be subsidized.

Stop taxing me and it's a deal!
You act like we are hypocrites but we pay taxes so may as well get some benefit.

Riiiiight. It is called a civilized society.
It's called socialism!
Any person or group (even the country) can decide to pay for a service they want. When i'm forced to pay for your services I don't want or need is when it becomes a problem.

What are you guys talking about?

What did I miss?

Obamacare fixed all the problems, right?

Don't tell me we are still having problems with healthcare?

Cripes, !!!!!! Just when you think your democratic party's messiah has saved the day, you find out it might not be true?

WTH is going on?
