Why should I pay the health costs for
-people who smoked their entire lives
-people who decided eating a Big Mac, Large Fry, and super sized Coke was what they wanted to eat 5 to 10 times a week
-people who drink too much and get behind the wheel.
-people who text and drive
-people who CHOSE not to use protection when having sex.
I'm as sympathetic as the next guy for people with congenital diseases, they didnt make a choice and something bad happened to them, which is why I'm a huge proponent of CRISPR and genetic editing/therapy to eliminate genetic diseases within the population, but people who make poor choices don't have my sympathy, nor do they have the RIGHT to dip into my wallet to subsidize the consequences of their poor choices.
