There was one death in Missouri, I think. The preceding tornadic outbreak this year, 11 Missourians died. The earlier tornadoes were not close in intensity or number as the ones this week. I think this is similar to what happens every year with the first slick roads and people crashing everywhere. They're not paying attention at first. There is some luck involved here, as well. Cape dodged a bullet.

I looked pretty extensively and couldn't find anything older than 2019. I might be misremembering it being Grain Valley. This was when I was in college. So 2007, 08, or 09.

I just remember watching Channel 4 and they ran the story on a teen who was hospitalized with alcohol poisoning. Then referenced potential consumption with alcohol soaked tampons.

Back in my youth (80s) a local bar and restaurant that is loooooong defunct on Antioch Rd (Annie's Santa Fe) used to have a Sunday night pitcher by straw drinking contest. First one to down the whole pitcher drinking through a straw won a 50 buck restaurant and drinks coupon.

Never mind the winner talk about getting instantly druuuuunk.................

Thats one case. The news story I read was quite awhile ago. Like 2007 or 08? A kid was at a party in Grain Valley and had to be taken to the hospital due to alcohol poisoning. Apparently there was some butt chugging at the party.
