Is this the first time a team not ranked in the final regular season state rankings has gone on to with the title?

Vianney had a 4-5 regular season...............if they win make it two such this year. Both teams that got things figured out deep into the regular season and goes to prove cannot count anyone out until that final loss.

In all fairness to the voters it would be very hard for me (regardless of circumstances) to vote for anyone who lost 49-0 in the regular season. I really, really would have loved seeing PC-HVille after the Cats got things going..............

And is a 49-0 loss the biggest beat down from a school in your own class during the season by a state champ team? Harrisonville rewriting the record book.

That's 49-0 loss to Platte County ranks in Harrisonville's program history as the 4th largest margin of defeat.

No matter what, head coach of Harrisonville, Brent Maxwell, deserves to be THE coach of the year in Missouri HS FB. Do not know the guy, but I think it would be tough for anybody to argue against it.

As to Vianney????
