Harrisonville Cass R-IX School District is a fully accredited school district, passing all MSIP standards and receiving Distinction in Performance award four of the last five years. Harrisonville High School houses 9th through 12th grades with an enrollment of approximately 800 students with the following sports: Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Girls Tennis, Softball, Boys Soccer, Boys Swimming, Wrestling, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Track, Baseball, Golf, Girls Soccer, Girls Swimming, Boys Tennis, Cheerleading and Dance.

Harrisonville is in Class 3 and currently in the West Central Conference moving to MRVC West in 2008.

•Responsibilities: The Activities Director will organize and administer the overall program of extracurricular activities, both intramural and interscholastic, for the district. Major duties include scheduling events; hiring officials, physicians and policemen for proper supervision of games; arranging transportation, budgeting, fundraising events and activities; fostering good school/community relations; arranging field and gym practice schedules; making arrangements for non-school use of playing fields and facilities and establishing and maintaining the school’s activities master schedule.

•Qualifications: Building level administration and head coaching experience preferred.


This is an 11-month salaried position. Salary will be commensurate with background, training and experience. Contract begins August 1, 2007.
