As a follower of these boards for the past 8-10 years, leading up to a road game I often read posts about what buses the boys will ride, fan parking, and whether or not there will be funnel cakes served at the game. The question engraved in my mind since the conclusion of last seasons contest with Har-Ber however, is whether or not there will be a Mcdonalds included in the new facilities in Springdale. I remember walking into the Webb City middle school to use the restroom facilities during the lightning delay that preceded the game. As I walked through the halls and cafeteria to the bathroom, I noticed the players(shoulder pads off and in the floor), coaches, cheerleaders, and many wildcat moms and dads sitting with their families and enjoying Bic Macs and 10 pieces. Walking out of the bathroom a Har-Ber coach delivers a quick whistle and says "listen up, it's time to put down the cheeseburgers and get your gear on. We are gonna start stretching in 25 minutes" The good news was we were close to football time. The bad news however, was that I could just about predict the outcome of what would eventually be a 42-13 Webb City victory as in my head, I had a very different picture painted of what was going on in the locker room directly to the west of the wildcats. That being said, the boys from Springdale figure to be a few cheeseburgers bigger this year and Webb could have their hands full up front. Although that seems to be the popular thread for more weeks than not, year in and year out and Webb usually finds a way to get the job done. If you can't block, can't tackle, and you can't hold on to the ball, then you probably can't win and the coaching staff at Webb usually has their boys more than prepared in those aspects of the game. It should be a very fun game and I'm anxious to see the new stadium on Friday. If they have a Mcdonalds (or any other fast food chain) in their new stadium, I like Webb by a couple scores.
