I've never seen a major league ball park where a ball that hits something beyond the yellow line is NOT a HR. Grichuk's ball hit the top of the padding AND the green fence behind it and bounced back on the field. No way that ball hit the top of the padding and bounced back, it should have been a HR.

I didn't see it hit the green part. Rewound quite a few times to see, just never could tell for sure. Odd to see that twice in one game.

The fact that ball bounced back on the field tells me it did hit the green fence. Hitting on TOP of the padding would not make it bounce backward unless it was coming straight down and that ball was not. The Red's ball that hit up there was a few inches below the top on the inside of the wall.

Yadi's inability to avoid the DP cost us a nine inning win.
And Marp's inability to score on Grichuck's ball off the wall...And Grichuck's inability to read the bloop off JHoney's bat...This team finds ways to not score runs in so many ways. Mind-boggling.

I've seen it happen plenty. Happened just a few innings earlier. Not saying it did or didn't. Just couldn't see that it did in slow-mo on DVR...But that one didn't hit the top of the wall!!! Atta baby...now fingers crossed Seth can close this thing out!

And yet we win again!! Watching this team can be like reading some of Stevedangos posts. Very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice win in 13! Helluva play by Maness on that broken bat too. That couldn't have felt very good, and the concentration to hang with it...wow!

At this point we have two hitters.
Luckily we have 12-13 pitchers.

I wonder if the yellow top on the support post is an indication that the fence is in play. Only thing I can think of to explain why it wasn't a HR IF it did hit the fence.
Could be Cards but some places only have yellow line on the wall and anything above that is a HR. I guess he got a more convincing one for the game winner later.
