That's luck now!! 18 semis and you hosted all but 3 (maybe 4 as there's no info on the 2009 game vs Tipton).

I'm late to the game here, apparently, but what school are you referencing here? Guessing Valle?

Big Brother is keeping tabs on you...Crazy part, I follow high school football closely enough that I knew pretty much who it was! I'll wager Tipton traveled to St Gen in '09. I can't remember them hosting Valle.

Tipton hosted Valle in 09.

Valle was also on the road for the semis in 81,82,83.

Also on the road in the quarterfinals in 81, 88, 89, 91, 92, 95, 08, 09, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 23. Seems like math more than anything. On the road in quarters a bunch, home for semifinals a bunch. And they’re usually district 1 or occasionally district 2, so not exactly flip flopping around to “benefit” them for an odd/even year.

Home semi games from 2011, 2012, 2013,2014,2015,2016,2017, 2019.

In 2020-2022 when they went to class 3 and got clobbered they hosted 2 of the 3 years.

Then 2023 they got the cakewalk and played the only decent comp at home in the semis.

Coincidence I'm sure.

Obviously Valle plays in too many semi’s. Something must be done.

You may as well save it! You seem to have every stat, newspaper clipping and rumor about Valley posted on the wall in your hidden room.

Nobody takes newspapers anymore!
Honestly I started looking and after about 3 years i went..'wait...how are they hosting so many semis?"

7 straight? are you kidding me?
I assume they've had someone on the advisory comm since about 2011.

You're a strange man. They're district 1 every year. It's not like they're shuffling districts every year so as to benefit them. They also have been on the road for quarterfinals in 08, 09, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 23 and hosted in 12 and 19.
Like is it that hard to understand if you go on the road a bunch in the quarters you'll likely be home a bunch in the semifinals?

Ever met Coach Naeger? It would be worth your time to drive down and visit. Learn how it's done. I'm sure he would show you around and answer your questions.

Speaking of research trolling , I have a track times question for you:

What are the top 5 times overall (all classes) at the MO state championships in the 300 m hurdles and who were those athletes?

I looked at Kearney's mshsaa page and was shocked they have zero athletes with a state record even in classification.

Thank you!

In 1977 Kearney broke the Class 2A 2 Mile Relay state record.. They held that until 1981 when Portageville broke it. That count or are you only looking at current class state meet records?

MSHSAA may not recognize the older events on the schools pages.

Ok i did some checking.
Looks like 81 was the year they went to 4x800 rather than 4x880.
Portageville ran an 8:03 4x800. Kearney's 4x880 was 8:15.

Wonder what year they moved from 2 Mile Relay to 4x800?

1980, all running events went to metric. except the relays as the track at Lincoln was still 440 yards. The next year the track was redone and all running events went metric.

I was at that meet. Pierce City was Class 2A in 1977. Quite a divergence of school populations since..

That was one year after we moved to halfway between KMO and Holt what a difference indeed! You crested Liberty hill on I 35 you were in the "hinterlands" it was all countryside now look. Four way stop light 33 and 92 with the feed store on the SW corner and Clem's itty bitty cafe on the NE and lots of local farmers on tractors waving at every car passing by.
