Looks a good one from where I sit. Hope his health stays good for many of those years.

I'd say it's a pretty fair deal all the way around. I still think MO is feeling heat. If Fowler, Waino, Bader, Ozuna, and the patchwork bullpen fail...I really think he could be gone. I'm not sure that's a good thing. He's kept this team competitive for a lot of years. And that's really the name of the game. But man, there seem to be an awful lot of ?'s in the everyday lineup. A lot. Add a couple of ?'s at the back end of the rotation, and nearly every spot in the pen has questions (Reyes/CMart/Leone health, Miller performance and health, Hicks handling the closer role). Just seems like there's a lot of risk-taking going on.

Getting Goldy was huge...BUT...no more Pham. No more JMart (at least for now) in the everyday lineup. Replacing those guys with Bader and Fowler, essentially. I'm not sure how anyone looks at that and thinks the offense is better. And it was bad on bad last season.

I hope he proves me wrong but I don't expect much from Fowler. Shildt was lucky to not have to deal with him last year. It'll be interesting to see how it goes.

I think the offense will be fine, but worry about the starters when Waino and Wacha will both be hurt by June 1 and we all know how that worked out for the Birds last year
