Glendale legend Don Provance passes away at 89

Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame member Donald Provance died June 13th at the age of 89. He mentored Glendale to two Missouri AA State Championships in 1976 and 1978. He coached future MLB players Mark Bailey & Steve Rogers. His Glendale teams made twelve trips to the state playoffs and won six Ozark conference titles. He was the head baseball coach from the year the school opened in 1963 until 1992. Won over 400 games at several stops including Springfield Parkview (winning two OC titles) before moving over to GHS when it opened. Glendale's home field is named after Coach Provance.
