President Biden wants to give a gas price holiday on federal taxes. This is met with resistance, and one of the reasons is that the oil companies will just raise their prices and to cover the tax credit and the consumer will not see anything but the oil companies get richer.
How can anyone be ok with this?

I’m hoping that things like this tax holiday are just faux moves by Biden he knows won’t pass to delay the time when people realize gas should be this expensive so we will force ourselves to change. Cheap gas is not good for us nor the planet. People still hoping for $2 gas in this century are short sighted and ignorant.

OPEC dropped the bottom out on oil prices in 2015 when Obama was president and gas at the pump dropped below $2 a gallon. So, yes, "we" never broke a sweat doing it. Trump had nothing to do with the cheap gas prices he inherited. Once again, the cult trying to rewrite history.

How in the world can you...? You complain about a tax holiday. And then ask about gas prices. The holiday should be almost $.20 a gallon less but you all don't want to regulate the oil companies so they will charge more. It's the height of hypocrisy for you to complain about that.

We must have cheap gas....energy etc. Our whole economy is petroleum based and will be way past our grandkids unless some crazy science fiction type of break through happens.. To pretend otherwise is a delusion of massive proportion.

If Biden and his climate crazies had their way they would artificially drive the price of Fossil fuels up to try and force some Energy switch that is pure fantasy. Remove the overt Regulations and open up the Market and Let's see what the price of Petroleum is per the market.

That is the issue.....the left runs around worrying and fretting about the Global Warming and has ZERO answers to bring about alternative energy production. Their answer is to try and make cheap fossil fuels unpalatable price wise to the masses but offer not one legit alternative source of energy to replace Fossil fuels.

16 yrs ago Al Gore raged at the Moon about Global Warming but had no answers and here we are still no answers from the left wing socialist because they don't deal in reality but fantasy.

The solution is simple.....Build Nuclear plants and Build a Whole lot of them if you want clean energy, fix the corrosion issue in Salt Reactors which are safer and have less issues than current reactor styles. Focus on adapting to the changing climate because that is our best hope as we must continue to use Fossil Fuels as our main source of energy for the next 100 years or more until we can transition to a clean Nuclear based energy supply. That is real world conservative solutions.....or we can continue to dream that Solar/Wind and Some insane scientific break through will save the day.
