Barely a month after the incident old Dalvin already has a trial and is acquitted in record time. Who has a trial that quickly? I'm sure everything in on the up and up. Glad he gets to play now. Great kid.......

Ducky... I gather that you are not a fan of "swift justice.":rolleyes::rolleyes:

Were you expecting the criminal process in Tallahassee to dispense justice to an FSU football player?

If he was guilty sure. There have been plenty of FSU players being arrested and prosecuted. There have been others Willie Meggs has pretty much destroyed. Greg Dent comes to mind.

I bet they handpicked 6(3 males and 3 female) jurors that wore the crimson and gold.

And I can think of several examples in the recent past where the police and/or prosecutors have screwed up royally or been uncommitted to the investigation.

Yeah, I bet it's hard to find 9 FSU football fans in Tallahassee.

And that is any different than Columbia?

Some huge conspiracy going on.

And let's all please remember...It's much more important, in major college athletics, to run the cleanest program in the country than to win national championships...oh wait...

There's a difference between running a dirty program and running a criminal program.

Mizzou and FSU are pretty much on par for arrests the last 5 years I believe.

Yeah, the problem isn't arrests. What happens after the arrests is the problem. James wilder jr. was arrested 3 times. Did he get kicked off of FSU?

And let's not forget FSU took Dalvin Cook after his juvenile record and stuck with him through multiple run-ins with the law even before this incident.

I'm missing something here. You have a problem with him getting to play because he was acquitted after a trial? Or you have a problem because the trial was actually done quickly?

I'm honestly not really familiar with the case but I am assuming you are implying that he was guilty but the jury was rigged in his favor?

No idea if he is a good kid or a total thug but I don't think a long drawn out legal process just for the sake of dragging things out is not a good thing.

I'm just saying, my mom worked at a court house for two decades and my nephew is a lawyer and for a case to go to trial in barely a month is almost unheard of. Strings were pulled. Given the fact that Florida and FSU have more athletes arrested and not found guilty than any universities in the country it sure raises suspicion in this corner.

Jurors are in on it to.

I took your point to be it's better to run a dirty program and win big (FSU) than run a clean program and not win. If that wasn't your point, I apologize.
Suppose it depends on the definition of dirty...but I'd rather hang banners and have a few arrests, than not have said arrests and never hang banners. Again, speaking in terms of major college athletics.

I don't really think you have to have one or the other.

It's amazingly fortunate for FSU that their best player got his case to court in record time.

Nothing to see here..

Punching a girl in the face multiple times.

Didnt know that. I knew one was hiding his girlfriend from her getting arrested so they got him for obstruction or something and another was for not going to court for the the aforementionedDGB was arrested how many times? And this guys getting ripped for not going to court as one of his arrests, LOL. Regardless, thugs make BA Football players. Every major college team has them some can control them some can control the situation after they screw up. But every team has them......

I doubt many people on trial have a reason to up their case date. Would you be missing work if you haven't yet been convicted? Cook has NFL talent. Anytime he misses can hurt him when it comes to that. If he was innocent and he knew it, I would want the court to move the date up as well.

It's all a conspiracy.

Agreed, but it's major college athletics, so I think the arrests are kind of inevitable. Especially in football where you deal with such a high volume of athletes. Just was saying, given the options of no arrests and no titles, or arrests and titles...give me the banners.

There is a right to a fair and speedy trial in the due process

Yes. Take a look in your local paper and track some arrests, then watch for the trial dates. One month is astonishing. Either the judge or DA is an FSU fan.

It's cute because Jimbo can pretend he's getting tough. He kicked offa QB because he has Golson coming in. He knew this guy would be back in time for the season so he could 'suspend' him.

Criminoles.

Mizzou guys get arrested and they pay for it. FSU? Depends on if you're any good.

What is cute is seeing guys like Richardson and Smith get in trouble outside of Como. But they didn't do that stuff in college right?

He knew 6 random jurors would find him innocent? Would he be back with the team if he was guilty?

If the cops were getting these players out of charges why bother arresting them in the first place?

I'm sure I'll get some well thought out responses.

Or or or they requested an earlier trial date. Again how often does that happen in normal cases?

Most of the time, people pro long the court date to try and plead to lesser charges or to try and buy their way out of the jam. I do not see anything wrong with him trying to get the trial done and re start his life, rather it be at FSU or elsewhere. As an athlete, I would want it done quick and be done so I could move on with my life. When you have 150 kids in your program, kids are going to mess up! That is how they learn. If you have never done anything wrong, you should be able to sit here and bad mouth programs and kids.

he may have been legitimately not guilty, but with the way things are handled in Tallahassee may you question anything that happens there. anyone who cant see that there is a definite bias towards FSU athletes is a Noles fan
