pacific vs sullivan friday night - in sullivan. Both teams undefeated in conference play this year and now play for all the marbles and a district seed. The eagles staff has them playing great basketball right now. Should be a fun match up.

Class 4 district 6 could be wide open. I attended the Webster @ Parkway West game a few days ago. The Longhorns did not have a good night. Webster was up by 30 after 12 minutes of play. Webster started " Playing Down " and having fun because of the competition. Parkway West most likely will receive major threats in district 6. Borgia is on a big winning streak and could be looking @ the Longhorns as just another opponent. Pacific and Sullivan could be in the mix but must play up for 32 minutes to have a chance @ advancing to the sectionals however the odds say a Borgia-Parkway West final.

On the ladies side of class 4 district 6, The Pacific Indians girls will move on to a sectional game and might continue having fun all the way to Columbia. The 4-Rivers Conference plus Washington will be well represented in Columbia this year.

Class 2--New Haven---17-7
Class 3 -St. James-----24-0
Class 4-Pacific----------20-3
Class 5 Washington---21-3

Pretty bold prediction with St. James girls in there somewhere. I haven't seen them this year but I hear they play great defense and might be the best team St. James has ever put on the floor.

I don't believe St. James girls will beat Strafford if they even get out that loaded district but that's why they play the games and not just hand out trophies based on records and papers. St. James and strafford is the possible elite 8 matchup in Springfield before final 4

I guess metro confused me listing the teams he did. He was talking about Pacific in class 4, I was thinking about class 3. I have heard Strafford is the big dog in class 3. I'm pretty easily confused most of the time.

Back to boys ball, I think pacific wins the conference this year.
stjamestigerfan, please elaborate on that prediction. I guess I'm asking for you to please compare the strengths and weaknesses of the two teams.
I haven't seen Pacific play this season. So, if you have seen both teams play, your analysis would be interesting.
metro-dude, if you've seen both teams play, your prediction and analysis would be very interesting as well. Thanks.

I've seen Sullivan play but not pacific. So in Comparing schedules, I feel pacific has had a tougher schedule.

The eagles have a much tougher schedule this year. Both teams got out of the owensville tourney and went to rolla (pacific) and springfield (sullivan) for competition. Should be an electric crowd friday night and a fun game. District seeds get really messy if the indians win. If sullivan wins they have a claim to the one seed ( as well as parkway west).

2-17-17--One day before seed meeting

Parkway West ( 17-5 presently ) will host Jennings on Friday evening. ( Toss up )
Borgia 15-7 @ Duchesne 16-8--Duchesne is the favorite but not enough to lock
Pacific 15-7 @ Sullivan 17-7--Pacific is the favorite but not locked

I see class 4 district 6 favoring Parkway West after the above games are played.

Present records:

1. Parkway West--17-5
2. Borgia------------15-7--Won eleven in a row.
3. Pacific------------16-7
4. Sullivan----------17-6

District 6---?---This is an opportunity for district 6
District 5---Most likely Parkway Central
District 7----McCluer or Jennings
District 8----Warrenton or Wentzville Liberty

So stjamestigerfan, I guess the Sullivan/Pacific outcome surprised you? Especially the margin?
I'll tell you a factor as far as "tough schedule". Though not an actual game situation, Sullivan's first unit goes against some very physical players in practice. It helps tremendously come game time when the first unit is "challenged" in practice.
