I know there was an old thread regarding this, but it was using last year's enrollments (for the 2020-21 school year). DESE's website has enrollments as of February of 2021, so I think that's a pretty accurate depiction of where things will end up (enrollments due in March). Last fall 299 schools played 11 man football, another 21 played in the alternate season. So we start with those 320 schools. Carnahan closed, Trinity closed, Clopton/Elsberry folded, Pleasant Hope going JV only, St. Joe Christian/Northland Christian co-op is no more and they're going 8 man, Knox County / Lockwood / Greenfield are going 8 man.
Are there any NEW programs for this fall playing in a district?
That would be 312 schools playing football this fall. 20% in Class 1 would be 62.4 schools, so let's say 62. Top 32 Class 6. 218 remaining schools divided "evenly" amongt 4 classes: 54 or 55 each class (54.5). Which classes have 54 and which have 55 are tough to figure out and would flip things for a few schools obviously. And don't forget, no class can have an enrollment difference greater than 2.0 besides Class 1.
Private schools:
Class 6: Rockhurst, CBC, DeSmet, SLUH, Vianney
Class 5: Helias and Chaminade
Class 4: MICDS and John Burroughs
Class 3: Lutheran North, Cardinal Ritter, St. Pius KC, Valle
Class 2: Summit Christian
The rest will go strictly off enrollment, and those are not on DESE, so I'm using their 2020-21 enrollments, which are likely inaccurate.
With North Point opening, I'm guessing Holt's February enrollment will be decreased dramatically. So they're likely NOT going to be Class 6 as listed. If so, Seckman would move to Class 6 in this scenario.
Again these are the enrollments as of February 2021
