Favorite Mosports memory?

What will those "Cheating M...F'rs" of Kearney do the first three games?
Early opinion is win them all like last year. No idea what PC has back and know Fort and Smithville graduated all their key talent (excepting the Indians' future star RB who will be a JR). Sorry to see everyone simply flipping schedules in this area for the most part. This would be a great year for Kearney to face someone like Mill Valley or DeSoto KS.

One of my most embarrassing moments was caught the local news . I was probably 11 or 12 . Ball boy for Webb City . They had a huge game going on with Pittsburg Ks . Largest crowd of the year ...newspaper said there was 9k people there . Standing all around the track , both stands full . Anyways right before half a Pitt guy caught a pass on the Webb sidelines and got pushed / tackled into our easy/ go golf cart . The refs stopped the game and told Webb to move the cart . My dad (webbs dc at the time ) told me to do it . Yeah ok. It was gas powered not electric. I hopped on there and hit the gas ....nothing happened . Floored it ...nothing . Then it took off like a bat out of hell . Threw me back in the seat and I hit the curve of the track and got it on two wheels . Crowd is laughing. I was embarrassed and didn't know what to do or where to move it . I drove it across the field mid play and the refs blew the play dead . Superintendent (ron lankford) is standing in the end zone and I drive to him as he is literally covering his eyes and laughing. My dad is like fighting mad at me bc Webb sacked the QB on a critical play that got nullified due to me cutting across the field on a golf cart . Webb ended up winning and when we got home and saw the news ...my dad finally laughed about it

That’s a dandy!

Seems I’ve heard this story…long ago.

I dont know who Mox is above but he mentioned something very near to me.
I loved the Brandon Bourbon conversations, everyone that hadnt seen him play including all them damn Stolzer Dragon fans called BS on his 40 time. I was lucky enough to be on the sidelines running chains that year and hearing all them coaches after the first breakaway run " damn hes fast". Then watching everyone eat crow on the board after the games lol

Thanks for sharing this. I needed a chuckle today. I read this with Benny Hill music playing in my mind. Very good story.

That is a great and funny story! So, are you Webb's DC now? Thought I read where a former Webb City DC son was the DC now.

That is one of the best things I have read in awhile. Thanks for sharing. Glad your dad was able to finally laugh it. Thank goodness you guys won the game or you might not be here to tell the story, lol.

There's this gem from early september..

"Up 13 in the 4th quarter and you have crossed the 50. It’s 4th and 1. You can put the game away. What did Drink do? He sent a clear message to his offense—I don’t trust you to get a yard. He sent a clear message to his defense—I don’t trust you to hold their offense.

Mizzou, at home, had to fight and get some breaks to hold on vs a team Bama beat 56-7 last week.

And running this Division 2 running back over and over. Come on man. Enough."

20 years, sheesh.

Don't log on much anymore but Mosports was hopping back in the day! Best score/conversations to be had late night on Friday's.

Ya'll tried to get me to bite when I first logged on, but I wasn't taking that bait. I was a fine upstanding citizen and represented the Dragons with class.

The biggest travesty is losing my post count over the last 20 years. Being banned for calling Tom Brady a medical device was also up there.

I sure hope all of you old timers are doing well and in good health. I hate to think of how many posters Mosports lost over the years.

As for favorite topic that got brought up, thats a hard one, my college years removed a lot of that from my memory. Now my older age takes it's toll. God bless and happy holidays fellas.

Do your kids play for Potosi?

Still kicking most days.

Blackhawkpride is the first name that I really remember.
Kenny56 and the coaches on here giving him the business about using his name and number as a handle.
Mightymite football coach dishing out his advice
Webb vs. everyone else
Duckwalk lining the young whippersnappers out every now and then
Still my all time favorite screen name - So mad I pooped
The reason I joined MOSports for a short time (I recovered my screen name and see it was Oct. 2005) was to figure out who this "Blackhawk Pride" was. That was the beginning of my internet days and I wanted it as my screen name but it was taken. I was like "WTF?" A friend of mine worked with a mutual friend that was a member of MOSports and saw my email address of "Blackhawkpryd" in an email chain and asked if I was the trash talking guy on MoSports. I had no idea what he was talking about so I went on to do some searching. Good times. That is the reason I'm Blackhawkpryd on everything instead of the normal spelling.
I'm not an active member now. First time logging in and posting in about 18 years.

Slapnut Nation was a good time.
The night FSU beat Auburn I rode Veer pretty hard
Rivalry thread
TheDive giving me lessons on how to embed a photo into your signature
Blonde living in a trailer across from the stadium
Post count run up on Alaska's board

I've met a lot of people from on here over the years. Maybe even coached against a few at this point. Mosports definitely served its purpose during that time!
