If I can offer an unbiased opinion
First of it was a great high school basketball game and yes the game was poorly officiated, but that didn't decide the outcome. Porter could have filed a complaint with the Warrenton police department. He was pushed, held, and grabbed for the better part of 32 minutes. Then to top it off he got an offensive foul trying to post up the last 2 minutes of the game. Simply a horrible call and one that in my opinion turned the game around. That being said, Madison Prep's big guy picked up 2 quick fouls in the first quarter and both were pretty weak considering the stuff they decided to allow for most of the game. Then the final point Tolton scored was a gift. The kid on Prep made no contact on the driving layup. Another horrible call.
If I were grading the officials I'd be generous giving them a C. The level of play on both teams was a lot better than the officiating.
This is a game Tolton not only could have won, but should have won. I have no idea how the younger Porter kid could be on the bench as much as he was, but in my opinion that was the game right there. He had to have sat out a good third of the game. If that kid plays 30 minutes today, then they are playing in Columbia next week.
