Everyone that said Kirk wood was not good they just won class 6 easy. I guess North does play good c

Depleted or not that small ball team, which is ignorant in itself handed ROCK a beating at home by 26. They only had two losses and beat BSS and BS twice and it was the same year CBC only beat them 31-24 in the semis. Depleted, lol. WEBB IS 2-0 against that depleted ROCK team and Jeff City and Rock Bridge. WEBB smeb, poor Hillary fan.....
Those Rock teams were not typical rock level teams. A front laced with 7 or 8 division 1 blue chip recruits. An option offense that could bleed the clock with 5 to 6 , 7-minute drives and kill you with whatever poison you picked. That's not a knock on Webb at all, The talent simply was not there. A shell of their former self. They brought in the reputation, but Hutchinson had all but diminished that and Webb finished them off.

Being 16-18, tired? Theres 11 starters, starters for a reason. If they can give you everything for a whole game healthy Id take that over backups anyday. I dont disagree with your statement just saying most upper level Class 4 teams have 70-90 kids on it. Some are special and play both ways. Some are special enough to go both ways on any team they wouldve played for. WEBB had a ton of kids start both sides of the ball forever most seasons/games they would only have to play into the third quarter but when needed would play the whole game. Kinda like Hvilles 29. In todays game he had 200 yards rushing 4 scores, punted and ended the game with an interception. I doubt he was tired during the game but might be dead tired coming off the adrenalin high in a few hours....

It'll be interesting to see if the city of Kirkwood gets its second state championship next weekend (St. John Vianney is located in Kirkwood).

Webb smebb. Why give a rats arse that small ball beat a depleted Rockhurst?. All of you turds are too young and stupid to know what you don't know. If we're gonna talk 2003, class 4 versus Rock, get real! Get serious!.
Oh bad move. Bad move. lol

This post isnt a knock on WEBB agreed. The WEBB smeb smallball bleh was kind of a knock!!! I totally agree with what your saying but I would think by now its been proven, Heart and Scheme can overcome lesser size and talent. Those teams that beat ROCK, Jeff etc had like 1 D1 kid from WEBB on them. WEBB usually finds itself smaller across the board than there competition when stepping up in Class but they believe in what Coach Rod preaches and kinda feels its their duty to win. That goes along way deep into games. Alot of those special players using DGB as an example go "who the hell are these guys and why dont they stop"..............I cant imagine many teams are pushed harder or expect winning more...

And before you ask, yes I even mean the great teams from the ROCKs past. WEBBs been doing it for almost 30 years now...A State Championship Game almost every other year since 89. Thats pretty high expectations for a long time....

In the largest classes reminds me of 2008. Definitely St. Louis' year........

2014 Rock came within a TD of winning the C6 title or at the least forcing OT...........or did I miss something?

2003, had a William Jewell level QB and walk on over achiever Reciever at Missouri, a legit Big 12 Lber. All very good. All very good class 4 players, but the team was small in numbers. They would not stand up to large class schedule that has the luxury of many more one-way players, that have equal or better talent. It's just common sense, one gets tired.
No, if you are talking schedule, they would not. We can agree on that. That was what blew me away with that group. I think I counted 35-40 on the sidelines in 2003...............knew what was coming once that class graduated in '04.

I will concur that the offensive line some of those Webb teams put together reminded me of man ball too. Just flat crushed the 3 tech and could work you over like a red headed step child. A thing of beauty. Love it.

I like any team that say's to the defense, "See that hole?, we're going to run it run it there, and there's nothing you can about it". That's football. Today's kids ask why are you trying to run it there, they know we are running it there. The real teams said, "we don't care if you know, try to stop it".

Are you still outside Bulldog stadium with your picket sign???????
Haha. Today a team was given every gift to make Kearney lose. I watched it on prepcast. I think Kearney proved today it's a team of destiny. A little magic going on, mojo, karma, or what not. Painful to say, they get r done. I like them. They deserve what they get. They play hard.

Thank goodness, for sake of today's society, there are still football teams out there, that listen and believe, that fight wholeheartedly for a cause that is bigger than anything you can learn ever in our lives as a young man. I see that in Kearney. They do it year after year. Their not perfect, but they are indeed a great team.

...revisionist History lesson....?
I'm not sure what you mean by "revisionist history" since the games never actually occurred.

What I said was speculation, just like when Kearney people pretend 2003 Kearney would beat 2003 Blue Springs or 2001 Webb City or dozens of other teams.
