Eldon vs Mt. Vernon

Thoughts on this game. First off I am a Eldon fan and don't know anything about Mt. Vernon. Just kinda want to know what to expect from them.

If anyone claims to know what to expect from Mt Vernon they are lying.
Mt Vernon beat 2 teams they lost to during the season in district play before beating Reeds Spring who they had beaten 1st game of the year. They have been highly state ranked before dropping to 5th seed in district. They are undoubtedly good but coach Cox makes them even more unpredictable than their season indicates. Very experienced coach with a LOT of tricks up his sleeve and the guys love playing for him.

Hey Miller, I was going to post when this thread 1st came up and decided to just wait and see what everyone else said ... My thought was simply that there might be no predicting which Mount Vernon team would show up that day. They seemed to play 2 different seasons this year. I actually heard someone familiar with the Mount Vernon program say at one point later in the season that some of the boys were unhappy with Cox and that could have directly caused their rougher losses??? I am gathering by your remarks that this is not true? I was shocked when I saw that Mt Vernon had beat Seneca in the district game because of what I had been told. Sounds like it was misinformation. Go Big 8!
