Dora/St Elizabeth

St. Elizabeth shot the ball incredibly well from 3 and still could not beat them. Was impressed with both teams

I thought it would be a good game, sounds incredible. I now think Dora wins the whole tamale tomorrow.

Didn't help their big kid had foul trouble and had to miss a lot of time though

37% isn’t lighting the place on fire. Lotta credit to Dora’s defense. Got 2 pretty damn solid guards to combine to go 6-23 from the floor with 15 TOs

Pretty solid showing considering he got to play around 2/3 of the game from the looks of it.
Two aggregious calls against Struemph. One when the kid slid under him for a charge and the other when he wasn’t even in the play and the ref called it on him. Bad breaks for St. E. They might have won with him in the game more. Dora couldn’t stop him. Best of luck to Dora tomorrow.

St. E can not complain about the officiating. I cannot believe somebis complaining from St. E.

It was a very good game. 32 for St. Elizabeth being in foul trouble was a factor in the game no doubt, I thought both teams played pretty well. St. E played mostly juniors while Dora mostly sophomores. The only call I thought was really bad was the 4th foul as it should have been on 34 instead of 32. The charge call is a bang bang play that can go either way.

I was there and the 4th foul was on the other kid, but late they were given a 2 shot foul that was not even close and it tied the game. No way was that an and one or the 1st foul of the game, both were not correct. There is no way St E got cheated, get your black and gold colored glasses off.

They were bad calls. If you were there and knew basketball, they were awful. But it is how it is. Keep defending
I was there the only foul on 32 he didn’t commit was the the one on the north end when it should have been on 34....the charge could have gone either way.....but he got away with hooking his defender a couple of times so I say it evened out

Bird_4_3.... Clearly you are from Dora. I don't even have a dog in this fight because I was there for the Jefferson game and came early to watch this game to see if Dora was going to try one of their cheating switch tactics again. But yeah St E got the shaft more than once in this game. Not only the two bad calls on 32. Heck, the charge that was called on him was from the ref completely on the other side of the court while there was two other refs standing right in front of the play and never said a word!!!! Then there was the foul at half court on Dora where they fouled the St E point guard. Right after the foul was called the ref on the other side of the floor blew his whistle and said there was a time out called prior to the foul. Which was crazy because the foul was called several seconds before the time out. Then you had the play where the Dora coach touched the ball and knocked it back in bounds to one of the Luna boys and that was not called either. I am pretty sure that would have been a tech on Dora. Then there was the call where the Dora had the ball, fell down, slid a good 5 foot and the St E guard picked up the ball and the same ref called a travel on St E again from the other side of the court!!! You could CLEARLY tell that the St E team was playing an 8 on 5 game. They would have easily pulled this one off if the refs would be able to count and know their numbers and gave the fouls to the correct players. With the speed and hustle of the St E guard who pulled that 5 point play in just a few seconds, and if the big was in there the entire game St E would have won by 15. But the calls the refs made wouldn't let that happen. I am pretty sure that those refs road the bus home with Dora after the game. But I do give it to St E. Those boys have class. They are not a team of cocky showboats. They make their plays and get back ready for the next play on the game. They don't have to showboat and make a scene like I had seen happen SEVERAL times with Dora. Then again, what do you expect from a team that is well know world wide for cheating!! Best of luck ST. E!! Your team just picked up another fan!

Dora coach touched the ball? I’m not from Dora just to clarify but I was behind the bench and that didn’t happen so you might need to move out of the rafters or get better binoculars

mgpantherman you might be the one that need the binoculars because the Dora coach clearly touched the ball while he was on the court

Maybe so but if happened it happened right in front of me and the only time I seen anyone touch it was on an out of bounds and the ball was given to st Elizabeth

In overtime while the game was tied the ball was deflected by a Dora player and hit the coach. The ball ended up in St E’s hands but they did not score. The game was tied at this time and St E should have gotten 2 free throws and the ball with about 2:30 left in OT

You know what games over can’t change it now.....people only hate Dora because of a 1-4 at the ft line debocle that cause licking to have a tizzy if they had gone 0-4 Licking still would have lost get over it

I love it when someone endorses cheating.

Especially when they’re from the Grove.
I don’t endorse cheating chaotic.....but almost 3 months later they is still the hatred....it’s just a ball game

The point being is, regardless of whether or not it changes the outcome of the game, cheating shouldn’t be tolerated.
And a team that cheats, shouldn’t be able to represent their class at the state level.

Most others won’t agree with this opinion, and that’s fine, that’s why it’s an opinion.

Agreed but have to admit conteversy create cash there are people who don’t even like basketball who come to Dora games to see if they will do it again.....and all host teams go to the bank

They won’t do it again in basketball at least, but I won’t be shocked if they use jersey swaps in the dugout to get around the MSHSAA pitch count rule during baseball season. Sorry to say, but their basketball coach didn’t seem to mind and he’s also their baseball coach and father of said “cheaters”

Yeah but only two of them pitch and they each have a different type delivery so I’m going to say the umps have already been tip off just like the basketball officials have been since the free throw gate

The officiating on the Dora / Jefferson game was COMPLETELY different than it was when I watched the Dora / St Elizabeth game where Dora got by with everything, and the refs let them get by with all of there cheap plays and fouls that they were called for last night against us. If the officials we had last night for our game would have reffed the St E game, St E would have beat Dora by a good 20. Because they wouldn't have gotten by with their cheap fouls that should have been called. The refs wouldn't have screwed St E over by giving the fouls to the wrong player like they did, and the coach would have been T'd up for touching a live ball in play. I myself was not impressed with the Haney kid that everyone's been blowing smoke on. He didn't have impress me much against us last night. On the St E game #10 did a pretty good job keeping him away from his ave scoring that he has had over the season and he wore Haney down because he was spent early last night. Im pretty sure that he had gotten most half of his points on free throws when St E was fouling them to work on getting the possession back. Which from us here rooting for Jefferson, I want to thank St E for the intensity that they brought to the game. You guys wore Dora out because they were FLAT and tired last night. #10 for St E and the big #34 you guys did a great job keeping him tamed down and not letting him drive the way he is used to.
