what is meant by struggle and what is meant by throw alot. There are so many variable i will say no, they don't. At somepoint the other team might just be betterr, regardless of what you do.

Typically in November the weather is colder and I've heard other coaches always say the cold favors running teams thus the playoffs favor running teams

It is more the wind than rain that impacts the throwing teams. If you can keep the ball dry and there is no wind than you have a chance. Wind effects throwing a lot for most high school teams. Add in the fact that throwing the ball and having multiple 3 and outs with 2 or more incompletions keeps your defense on the field and if you can pound it out for two or three drives you can take a lot of time of the clock. It is why a lot of coaches like to be able to run and defend late in season.

Agree that the wind has been more problematic than rain over the years. I've seen numerous no return-negative yardage punts because of those conditions. In effect it has reduced the play book to extended hand-off type passes. Very restrictive for those teams that relied on going over the top and long yardage strikes and it has even affected the snap on occasions when they weren't under center.

I know the run teams don't have any issues in the rain or the wind. Remember back to 2010 - 2015. Lamar always played Liberty on opening day of dear season, in which in Missouri is also one of the Windier days of the year. The debate was always if the wind affected Liberty's offense.
legend has it that it was the wind combined with controversy surrounding pizza that turned out to be the culprit.
