Districts are out

Jackson stayed Class 5. I like Grain Valley in particular in NWMO C5 but not at all sold anyone will deter the Indians and WC Cards from meeting for all the marbles in probably the best matchup in all MO provided we make it there (fingers crossed).

Dont forget a Jackson and Battle semifinal matchup.

Might be an easier way to get there but if you click on an individual school in the District, and then click on District in the upper section there, it will take you to point totals.

I think I can hear the folks over in CJ jumping and celebrating. Even at 1-3, I wouldn't count them out. WP will be a tough one but I think playing larger solid teams like Joplin, Nixa, Webb, Carthage and others will give them an edge over much of their new district.

Good thing Carthage got that trophy last year because their post season just got really cloudy. The good news for everyone around here is that big match will (hopefully) get to happen now. And the value and implications of this game will matter once again, so I like that. Ozark is saying "don't forget me" but I imagine everyone is just looking at WC and Carthage for the title in that district.

I like the district with Joplin, Nixa, Poo and some KC schools. A lot of good teams in that pile.

Class 1: Seems wide open to me with no clear favorite

Class 2: Finally have the big city schools out of the picture for the most part - also seems wide open. Palmyra is a team to keep a eye on.

Class 3: Blair Oaks's to lose, but it will be a tougher road

Class 4: Another wide open class. Keeping my eye on Warrensburg, they have a solid squad but are in Helias's district.

Class 5: Jackson/Webb would be an all-timer

Class 6: Hard to tell with so many schools not playing yet.

There are going to be a lot of teams coming out of the woodwork hoping to have a shot, now that Webb City is gone after 2 decades of dominating class 4. Many of the schools that were running the tables in C4, including both of the schools in last year's title game as well as Ladue and some others are now in C5 so the new scheme has created a totally different landscape.

Is Mac County a dark horse?

What should be asked is … what about Trinity Catholic? Are they going to compete and are they going to be able to qualify to compete for state. Helias is good. Damn good. But look out for Trinity if they are given their opportunity this season to play.

Are they as stacked with D1 talent as the past? I literally know zippo about them.

Post Dispatch says that they are. They are on the same level as Lutheran North. They are not as good as they were 2 years ago when they had Mookie but they always have D1 talent none the less like Lutheran North does. Can they play with Helias? I would have to say yes. But until they actually get to play a game this year it is hard to tell where they are exactly where they are at.

doubtful. They’re definitely improved this year, but it’s easy to say that when they’re playing Class 2 & 3 programs all year with the exception of Monett. I would say that Mac County very well could be the 3rd best in their district behind West Plains and CJ, but don’t expect to see them in the District title game unless something COVID related happens

I can agree with this. I just don’t know if CJ is going to be on the same level as WP. But that also depends upon which WP team shows up. “Any Given Friday”

Class 2 with Lutheran St Charles will be interesting, they have a kid going to ND and their RB has all sorts of offers. Not sure how good their O Line is tho

Class 1 watch MID-BUCHANAN. KCI looks to be a battle of the Buchanans this year. EAST is very good, too.,

I could see Willard going 0-9 and winning their district for that matter.
I think Lebanon is the winner there but IF Willard were to get it together they are certainly capable of winning that district with 4 teams still winless.

So CJ could go 2-7 and still make the district finals against WP.

Don't count Hannibal out, they have a great team this year but they always played a weak schedule. I'm waiting for the Hannibal vs Battle game on Oct 23rd

My friends in the know say MICDS is loaded with talent, better than 2018, but who knows if they are even going to get to play. Trinity has Cotton and i am sure some very good skill positions. and they are in the same district.

Every year we get to hear from Chaotic about how good West Plains is. Every year they lose to someone in districts. Very hard to tell if they are good or not Playing in an extremely weak conference!

Just because they lost, doesn't mean they weren't a real good team?

Not taking the bait. I’ll let the on field results speak for themselves.
What conference would you suggest they join?? I’m curious.

Well you Just did! Crazy how every year you tell everyone West Plains is SO good (even though you claim not to be a West Plains fan) and they do NOTHING!!!! Not saying they should join any other conference. Just saying because of the conference they play in they are FOOLS GOLD.
