Brookfield vs East Buc has been moved from EBH to Lathrop High School.....apparently EB field is in to poor condition to play on. I think that is wrong, if one team can not host a game due to poor field conditions, the other team should have the option to host the game before it is moved to a Neutral site. MY OPINION EB does not want to play Brookfield in the Mud, speed vs power. I think this is crazy and MSHSAA needs to change this rule and both teams should have to agree to move a game to a neutral site. Oh and BTW Lathrop is an artificial surface, that is probably and advantage to a team that whips the ball around and utilizes speed. Well I hope this fuels the Brookfield Bulldogs to go in there and put a knot on their head!!! GO BROOKFIELD BULLDOGS!!!!!!

If this were a rule than EB would play at home, no matter what condition the field is in. I am guessing that Brookfield's field is also a mess. And yes it's probably an advantage for EB to play on a dry field, but it's also an advantage to be playing at home.
You probably know this, but East Buc is also the Bulldogs.

I will concede that they want a home game, but I think that if they can not host for ANY reason then the other team should get the option before it is played at a neutral site!!

East Buch is the #1 seed in their district, if their field is unfit to play on then why shouldn't they have the choice of where they play? They're the #1 seed, That is their right. If Brookfield wants to play at home for the district championship then maybe they should have earned the 1 seed. The end.

I am sure they hate the fact that they have to move the game. But, they earned the higher seed and should have the right to pick the location. No way they should have go to the opponents field.

I'm pretty sure that none of you are privy to the conversations between Brookfield and East Buch's coaching staff and athletic director. Nobody is forcing anybody to do anything they are not in agreement with. Nobody wants to relinquish home field if they have earned it. Believe it or not, fields can be deemed unfit for play and agreed upon by both teams. Get over it.

Coach Bailey played at Pitt State, Lamar asked and Warsaw agreed so the game was moved.

Oh yeah that's right. Why would they move a MSHSAA Football Playoff game to Kansas?
I think maybe the field was damaged from rain or something? I don't really know but it still gets brought up frequently on this board. Apparently a lot of people were really bent out of shape about the fact that it was in KS. Personally I think it would have been a neat opportunity to play or watch your team play at PSU's stadium.

Brookfield is prepared to give East Buch all they want regardless of the location of the game. We also have a lot of fast athletes who will have an advantage playing on field turf. Appreciate the sentiment and yes I do agree the decision by EB probably has something to do with a rainy forecast this Friday night. They struggled with LeBlond the other night in the rain.

South Callaway ? Played for class 2 title last year and didnt make it out of first round ? What gives ?

East Buch used to play playoff games at Missouri Western. Since Mo West has some construction going on I am sure they were not allowed to use Mo West. It may have to do with seating capacity more than field conditions. Although I agree that a artificial surface would be to EB's advantage. EB did beat up on Brookfield last year at Brookfield so I don't think site is the issue.
